A cleaning update: During this unsettling time, we want to continue to keep our

Lord’s house clean. You are welcome to come clean the

church and to pray. During this time cleaning will consist

of vacuuming the main aisle and the Altar. Please come

between 9:00am - 4:00pm on Thursday or Friday to clean.

If you wish to clean at another time, please call Vickie at

the church office to make arrangements.

The regular order of guilds will be used. THANK YOU!

Note

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Happy Easter! I pray that Easter joy may permeate your lives, your homes,

everything you do and everywhere you go! The message of Easter is new

life! Easter changes EVERYTHING! Christ is risen from the dead! This

means that ultimately no hurt, no sting, no struggle, no obstacle, nothing—

not even death—can hold us down from our upward trajectory toward God.

This is why St. Paul writes: “what will separate us from the love of Christ?

Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril,

or the sword? No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through

him who loved us.” (Romans 8:35, 37-39). St. Paul rattles off a long list

of things that any normal human being would find distasteful, such as

persecution, famine, etc. St. Paul's point is that Christ’s victory over death

means that God can go to what seems like limits for us—even to the places

in our lives that hurt the most—and bring new life. God wants to pour out

his new life on us! What is your greatest challenge or obstacle? What in

your life seems like a limit? God can break through all of that, if you allow

him to, and bring something new into your life through it. That’s the joy of

Easter! Nothing, nobody, nohow, nowhere, can keep God from doing His

work of bringing new life. Amen.

May you be blessed abundantly! Please know of my prayers for you!

Fr. John N. Hay, Pastor

A note from Father John:

Please know how grateful I am for your continued financial support of our

parish during this time when all public Masses are suspended. I am so

thankful for your generous hearts, because these are financially trying

times, for you and for our parish. You can drop off your tithes/envelopes

at the parish office during the week, mail them in or give online through

our website. Again, I thank you and know this: God will never be outdone

in generosity!
