One School One Book Food Drive and Movie Reward
Our wonderful PTO sponsored a food drive. The PTO challenged our students to collect 350 food items. If the students reached the goal, an all school movie would be rewarded. Our students went above and beyond and donated over 500 items! Way to go! An all school pajama day with an afternoon movie was held. Thank you to the PTO for coordinating and thank you to our students for helping those in need!
History of Writing Museum January 31, 2020
Kindergarteners in Mrs. Tischer's class put on a History of Writing Museum to display each student's writing so far this school year, as well as their most recent published piece of work. They had a separate display showcasing their original pieces dating back to September 2019. Visitors enjoyed seeing how far the kindergarteners have come in such a short time!

Steam 56 Mr. Jilek and Ms. Getlin's class meet every other Friday for Steam 56. Students have been working on creating their own marble runs. They recently tested their hard work and our winning group had a total run of 6 seconds. Congratulations to Chase and Lila (5th Grade) & Bri, Kaitlyn, and Brady (6th Grade). Everyone did such a great job!
Regional Youth Art Month Exhibit Five students from Eagle Elementary and Palmyra Elementary had their artwork on display at the regional Youth Art Month Exhibit. Way to go Kiera, Thomas, Tyler, Nyaia and EES’ very own Kennedy! The opening reception and award ceremony took place on February 14th at 6:00 pm at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. The students’ work joined art from 8 other counties. From these five works, 3 pieces were chosen to go on display at the State Capitol on March 6th. Thomas and Kiera from PES and Kennedy from EES will have their art moving to the State level. The Youth Art Month State Award ceremony will take place on March 6th at 12:00 PM in the rotunda at the State Capitol in Madison. In addition, Kennedy received the Matisse Award for Best Use of Color. Congratulations Kennedy!
