Fort Wayne United Futbol Club strives to foster a child’s technical, tactical, psychological and physical talents as they progress through all stages of player development. Aided by soccer professionals in our organization, our objective is to provide every player the greatest opportunity to develop their soccer skills in addition to important life skills such as discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. This task is accomplished by hiring the most experienced and quali�ied coaches who have a passion for the game and the desire and enthusiasm to educate young players to reach their potential.

Creating the right environment that provides elements essential for a well-rounded player is a major goal at Fort Wayne United FC. The development of a soccer player is a process in which player’s progress gradually from a simple to more complex involvement in the game. It’s a long term process that focuses on the holistic approach of the player. Players should always compete at a level that is both challenging and demanding in order to foster improvement.

WHY FORT WAYNE UNITED? OUR PRINCIPLES OF LEARNING

Often, teaching and coaching are based on the misguided notion that practice makes perfect. That is not necessarily true. Practice makes permanent and that fact applies with equal certainty to both good and bad practices. Incorrect training, therefore, will eventually produce permanent bad habits. Those who understand coaching know the bene�its that will grow from correct practice and the formation of good habits and sound knowledge. We are a product of our environment. There is a misguided notion concerning the coaching of soccer which should be dispelled at the outset. The �irst of these is that soccer players are born with natural �lair and do not require coaching. This notion is not supported by the facts. The essential fact is that progress through time has come from advancement of education; each generation has handed on to its succeeding generation more knowledge and better techniques of teaching and learning. This notion is consistent with the fact that youngsters are not born with equal talent. They are unequal physically, mentally and psychologically. Those who are brought up in a futbol environment will have better opportunities to develop their talents than those who are not. The great challenge of teaching, therefore, is to recognize potential talent and develop that potential to its full realization. This is Fort Wayne United’s belief and commitment to the soccer community.

We offer one uni�ied direction and a consistent methodology applied across all age groups. FW United FC is committed to soccer perfection and is dedicated to achieve the highest goals in the State and National Soccer Programs. Encompassing players from ages �ive and older, our comprehensive structure offers year-round training from experienced soccer professionals. Players will develop by learning skills and strategies at age appropriate levels. Each player will be exposed to the best coaching, training and facilities that give them the leverage to grow in all aspects.

The above elements are generated through The Fort Wayne United FC’s multi-level system.

The �irst level is Academy which is the highest tier of travel competition. The second level is Elite which is the middle tier of travel competition. The “High School Select Program” is for players who want to take advantage of the environment but prefer limited travel and overall less demanding commitment.

The Fort Wayne United FC is a nonpro�it 501(c)3 organization. After recognizing that soccer in the Fort Wayne area was growing rapidly and the high level of talent that was present, the club was created in 2013 by merging two of the top organizations in the area, the Fort Wayne Fever Academy and the Citadel Futbol Club. This organization supports a multi-level system that bene�its every player , local and regional soccer players are offered the very best in soccer development. Fort Wayne United FC provides an environment that includes the best facilities, coaching and player development for all levels. Our Club players train together on the same �ields and at the same facilities under oneuni�ieddirection. These athletes are dedicated to their team, their Club and their sport.

AT A GLANCE ● 500+ children participate annually in our Fort Wayne United Cadet

recreational program. ● 600+ children participate annually in our travel program under multiple

levels: o Academy - top players compete against the best talent regionally

and nationally (11U – 19U). o Elite – high level players who receive similar bene�its as Academy

players and compete in the second and third tier at state, regional and national league or events (11U – 19U).

o High School Select – competitive level players who receive similar bene�its as Elite players with limited or no travel and less demanding commitment. (15U-19U)

o Youth Pre-Academy – for players ages 8-10 boys and girls that are interested in higher competition and training. Will compete in regional or state wide leagues with limited travel.(8-10U)

● We support fundraising programs such as Scrip, FW United FC Golf Outing, Savory Sweet cookie dough and the �ight against breast cancer (Shoot for a Cure Tournament).

HIGH SCHOOL SELECT TEAMS (15U through 19U Boys and Girls)

Fort Wayne United FC HIGH SCHOOL SELECT is a program designed to foster players who were not selected for an Academy OR Elite team, but are looking for opportunities to develop their overall skill and are dedicated to �inding their best. Their goal is to make their High School Team, and/or climb the ladder to be considered for the Elite or Academy level team. Our HSS Teams consist of a diversi�ied group of players; each player having a different need but all looking to improve their overall development.

Fort Wayne United is extremely impressed with the talented pool of players this community has to offer.

FORT WAYNE UNITED TRAINING PLAYER Fort Wayne United offers a “Training Player” option that will help you improve your skills for the Club and or School Team under the Fort Wayne United developmental system.

As a training player you will:

● TRAIN WITH A UNITED TRAVEL TEAM(DIRECTOR WILL PLACE AT APPROPRIATE LEVEL FOR DEVELOPMENT).

● Training will be 2-3 days a week. ● Monthly charge that a player can cancel at any time ● Bene�it from the coaching environment at FW United. ● Continue to receive the education to improve without the travel

commitments.

(AGES 15U – 19U BOYS AND GIRLS)

AGE 15U : The coaching staff spends time developing players’ technical abilities and overall ball control. In addition, they work on small group tactics to enhance overall physical and psychological aspects of the game. This is created through game related-exercises and game conditional situations to challenge decision making skills and awareness.

AGES 16U-19U : Players are technically, tactically, physically and emotionally improving and are getting closer to a �inished product. Players are competing and striving to improve individual and small group tactics through training and game competition. Players are receiving professional instruction on how the game is played through functional training and large group tactics. Players will be exercising their soccer IQ through competition and are improving their overall abilities in game situations.

MULTI-PLAYER DISCOUNT: The second sibling (or any additional after that) will receive a $50 discount off the registration fee. This discount does not apply to training players.

REGISTRATION: Upon acceptance a $300 deposit ($200 for High School Select players) will be required in June. The balance due will be divided into nine monthly payments, the first of which will be due in August. Please see the fee structure for complete information and instructions.

RETURN FEES: A fee of $20 will be added to your account for any credit card payment declined.

REFUND POLICY:

▪ Ifaplayerdecidestoquit:Payment must be made in full per the payment structure. No refunds will be given due to the comprehensive nature of the program.

▪ Ifaplayerisinjured:If the injury is short term (3 months or less), no REFUND will be provided. If the injury is long term (more than 3 months) medical proof must be provided and a meeting will be held to determine a possible credit for those who paid in full.

Othercircumstances:A meeting will be held to determine a possible credit.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM: Fort Wayne United is a not-for-pro�it organization, providing �inancial assistance to individuals with limited or no ability to pay for services and who meet the assistance guidelines.
