Custom House Agent (CHA) business of Kerry Indev is in operation from the inception of the company and it is mother entity for all other business vertical. This vertical is highly sensitive since it involves detailed knowledge on customs regulation and customs tariffs rules to clear the goods in import / export transactions. Kerry Indev have developed very good reputation by delivery quality service to the nation which is being recognised by various institutions including World Customs Organisation. Kerry Indev is one the entity to hold Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) to do the clearance activity in India. This has created a lot of responsibility for the company to make it more vigilant in screening customer document to establish more system driven controls in the process and to build the knowledge base to share across all verticals to make use of it

The Air Division earlier merged with SEA freight Division in the year 1987. In 1995 we got IATA and in 1996 started an independent office near airport for dedicated services required for serving some of the corporate clients like Gokaldas, Vinayaga exports and C & I. What started with 10 staff has grown over the years into a full-fledged unit with around 150 staff members now.

The Beginning

Transport Division started in 2005 with 5 staff members exclusively for Air Division Customer and as on day the team is doing on an average 1250 trips per month.

Diverse ClienteleIn the beginning our clients were largely from the textiles industry. But now we have a diverse client portfolio and we are handling multiple products especially in IT & Telecommunication, Pharma, Automobile industry, etc

Fast Delivery

We are pioneers of the fast delivery model. At Chennai Air Cargo we take delivery within 5 hrs on flight arrival. On an average we are handling 4000 Imports and around 2500 Export shipments per month and 90% cargo cleared within TAT as per the customer requirement.

It is one of the major players in IT and Telecommunication industries. Globally Lenovo is in number 1 ranking for personal computer and in smart phone category they are in number 3 position. On an average we clear 700-800 shipments for Lenovo every month. It is a leading manufacturer of

mobile phones in India. After the introduction of “Make in India” concept by Government of India, they are the major smart phone manufacturing player starting their production in India for companies like Lenovo, Motorola, Reliance JIO & Huawei. We do around 300-400 import shipments per month.

One of the major players in IT industries and they are also our traditional client for the CHA Division.

We are handling import clearance for their home appliance unit, on an average clearing 450-500 import shipments per month.

The are major players in the Telecommunication Networking industry. Every month we are clearing around 800-900 import shipments (to SEZ) per month.

Their plant is situated at Sri-City, Telangana and their end products are Electronics components.

Nissan Group, Daimiler, Delphi TVS - these clients are amongst our top customers for Air import as well as Air Exports.

Major contribution are from M/s Zoetis (they are one of the major suppliers of Animal Vaccine) and M/s Biomeriuex (they are major suppliers for Diagnostics Kits)

Recently we have customs cleared one OD cargo of 25 mt width and 75 feet length and we took the delivery directly from the tarmac while offloading from the aircraft.

Rising star formally known as Foxconn is a major vendor for NOKIA Mobiles. RSMIPL also have two manufacturing plants, one is in Chennai and another one situated at Sri-City, Telangana. They manufacture VIVO, Sony, MI & Nokia phones. Recently we received two awards from RSMIPL for our contributions at the service level and the award was presented by RSMIPL Managing Director, Mr.Josh Foulger

• We are pioneer for AFS clearance at Chennai Airport. As on day we had moved 90 tons cargo to AFS for customers like Lenovo , Flextronics, etc. • Major advantage of AFS is that it reduces lead time and avoids multiple handling of cargo. It also avoids pilferage, damage & demurrage, • Enable the airport facility for transferring the cargo and not for storing and warehousing. • Since AFS is located on NH 4 (Bangalore highway), it helps to transport the cargoes round the clock.

Reliance Lifestyle Holdings Limited which was incorporated in July 2007, has entered into an exclusive Pan - India franchise arrangement with the UK-based Hamleys, the world’s most famous toy retailer, to bring its toys to India. This arrangement is aimed at combining the distribution dominance and scale of Reliance Retail in FMCG, food, electronics, consumer durables, apparel, footwear, lifestyle and home improvement categories, and Hamleys world-class toy retailing experience.

Reliance Industries Ltd acquired Rhea Retail Pvt. Ltd in April 2007. The company's line of business includes wholesale distribution of women's, children's, & infants’ clothing and accessories. Its revenue for the year through March 2018 was Rs 200 Crores.

Lenovo India Pvt Ltd was inaugurated to our 3PL Chennai on the birthday of our Hon’ Chairman, on the 05th of June 2018 and the warehouse operations commenced the next day at our newly added warehouse in Irungattukottai Sipcot, Sriperumbudur.

ROL (Risk of Loss) day which is the last day of a month is considered the most sensitive & critical day as 50% of the month’s sales orders will be received on the ROL day to be dispatched.

• Active working hours on the ROL day ie 31st December 2018 was 7.5 Hrs • The number of pallets allotted for Lenovo is 3225. But, on the ROL day we had 3560 pallets dedicated for Lenovo • As per the SLA, the target set for us is to handle 3,000 MTM (Laptop/Desktop/Monitor) per hour. Whereas, we have handled 4,600MTM per hour ie 34,949 MTM in 7.5 hours • Despite this gigantic sales order, we have successfully closed all of them placed on the ROL day without any delay or any wrong delivery. .

Mr. Mathivanan the branch manager of Tirupur fondly known as Mathi, was identified and fostered by Chairman. He has quintessential experience in our organization and has worked earnestly to maintain his targets every year. Through his contributions our company has attained good volumes and profit. Being punctual is one of his great qualities, and this in turn motivates his co-workers to get the work done on time. He is always focused on achieving the targets and is keen on maintaining the rapport with his clients and subordinates. He uses his entrepreneurial skills to maintain the goodwill of the company.

Apart from that, his integrity towards the Marketing & Administration departments helped gain control and understand the system. This in turn enabled him to expand his vision and add more customer base for the growth of the organization. Mathi consistently finds a way to help his co-workers and customers, despite the overwhelming amount of work that he has to do. His efforts not only benefited the employees, but they also set an example and inspired his co-workers to stay pro-active in their responsibilities.
