PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD
BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE WITH CHRIST
Our poor box is for St. Vincent de Paul. In this Sunday’s Gos-
pel, the tax collector’s prayer allows God to be God and so al-
lows God to pour mercy into his heart. When we pray and give
alms to the poor, we allow God’s mercy to be poured into their
hearts. Through your gift to the poor box you also can give
God’s mercy to your neighbor who is hungry, hopeless, alone
and frightened. If you or those who are close to you need
emergency financial assistance, please contact us or to volun-
teer, call 301-662-4676.
Next weekend our poor box is for Middletown Valley People
Helping People. This organization serves the area of Braddock
Heights, Middletown, Myersville and Wolfsville. They assist with
information, referrals, school supply assistance, holiday assis-
tance, senior citizen issues and transportation for medical ap-
pointments.

proceeds. If you are able to donate handcrafted items
for this year’s sale, please contact Daryl Lindstrom at
[email protected] or drop off your donation to the
parish office. Please be sure to include your name and
phone number or e-mail address with your donation.
