SOLID DIE, ADJUSTABLE GUIDE THREADER SET - REED

The REED adjustable guide makes these the most economical, most convenient, and most versatile threader sets on the market. Because the guide adjusts to different sizes of pipe, it is only necessary to have a die for each pipe size, not a die and head. Other threader sets which require a die and a head for each size typically weigh over 25% more and take up considerably more room in the tool box or truck. Further, with two pawls, handle swing is faster -half that of one pawl competitive sets, and the best for close quarter work. Adjusting guides easily fit over coated pipe. These sets use the REED solid die: the easiest starting, easiest cutting and the most precise threading of any die. One die threads both stainless steel and carbon steel.

Solid Dies for Steel/Stainless Steel �

Only REED solid block dies have wide throats � and extra fine threads that actually pull the die onto the pipe even if the burr is large.

Only REED has two chasers to cut and two chasers � to guide the threads. REED chasers are cast in place in the foundry operation and are then machined as a unit (not bolted in place) for perfect alignment.

Rex dies produce better threads!!

Due to the relative ease of obtaining a leak free seal with a NPT thread (NPT have tapered sockets. BSPT have parallel sockets therefore BSPT threads seal over a shorter distance), manufacturers of machines designed principally for the NPT thread form have not ensured that their machines produce a high quality, well formed thread that is required when forming BSPT threads. Rex dies are designed around BSPT threading and produce superior quality threads when compared to other manufacturers.

REED PORTABLE ROLL GROOVERS

REED portable roll groovers are compact, durable tools for use at installation sites.

RG6 Model - designed to be powered by Ridgid® Model 300 Power Drive - will groove 1 1/4” to 6” schedule 5S - 40 pipe. Unlike similar models, the RG6S has heavy duty bearings and a steel body to withstand the punishment of severe grooving applications. Finger-adjust depth screw and gauge provide quick adjustment and accurate, repeatable groove depths. No bulky adjusting wrenches required. It has sealed bearings for long life.

RG26 Model -for grooving in-place pipe, and pipe too short for powered groovers. It is easily carried and positioned with a convenient handle. Included ratcheting crank is used for feeding and turning. The RG26 is the easiest in-place groover to handle and operate. It uses heavy duty bearings, hardened and ground shafts and rollers mounted in a ductile iron housing for durability.

RG6CU and RG26CU have new rollers and shafts to meet copper grooving specifications.

COMBO ROLL GROOVERThe RG6HDCOMBO forms standard rolled grooves in steel, stainless steel, PVC and aluminium pipe from 1 ¼” – 6” capacity, Sch. 10 and 40.
