CELEBRATION OF COMMUNION
Tonight, we receive the symbols of love and life by observing communion through intinction.
Each pew row—beginning with the back row in each section—will exit to the right aisle and
come forward to receive the bread and then dip it into the cup, returning to their pew by the left
aisle. Those desirous of gluten free elements are asked to remain seated and raise their hand,
and it will be brought to you.
MUSIC DURING COMMUNION
Meditation on Greensleeves Lucy Vander Kamp
CONGREGATIONAL CAROL What Child Is This 162 GREENSLEEVES
When Love Was Born Mark Schultz
Starlight shines, the night is still, shepherds watching from a hill. I close my eyes to see the night
when love was born. A perfect child gently waits, a mother bends to kiss God's face. I close my
eyes to see the night when love was born. Angels fill the midnight sky and they sing Hallelujah,
He is Christ, our King Emmanuel, Prince of peace. Love come down for you and me, Heaven's
gift, the holy spark, to light the way inside our hearts. Bethlehem, through your small door came
the hope we've waited for. The world was changed forevermore when love was born.
OFFERING
ANTHEM AT THE OFFERTORY O Holy Night Adolphe Adam
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining, it is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining till He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of
hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees!
Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born! Led by the light of faith
serenely beaming, with glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. So led by light of a star sweetly
gleaming, here came the wise men from the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus in lowly
manger; in all our trials born to be our friend. He knows our need, he guardeth us from
danger, Behold your King! Before the lowly bend!
* CAROL Hark! The Herald Angels Sing 150 MENDELSSOHN
