What are you doing for Valentine’s Day? I hope you have planned something so that February 15th is not an unpleasant day for you. How does the Chamber fit into Valentine’s Day? Your Chamber of Commerce has over 1,000 members from which you can choose to buy something for your significant other, your friends, your children, your parents, or yourself. We have flower shops, gift shops, carpet cleaning services, billboard companies (nothing says “I Love You” like a billboard on his or her way to work…), real estate services and churches for if you happen to pop the question. The ideas for Valentine’s Day that you could get just from looking at our business categories on rankinchamber.com are endless. Check them out for some great ideas to surprise someone special in your life.

Back to business, though, for a moment…We have an exciting event coming up on February 6th that one of our Leadership Rankin groups is putting on to benefit Hudspeth Regional Center. It is called Help for Hudspeth Charity Celebration. This Leadership Rankin group has worked long and hard to plan this event that will help the ladies at the Hudspeth Rankin County Group Home. More information on this is available in this newsletter. Our mentally disabled population is extremely important and they are often overlooked, so every day, but especially during this Valentine’s season, let’s give them a little bit of extra love. Please come participate and support a great cause.

Daniel Elliott, BancorpSouthChamber President

The Chamber thrives off of the contributions of our members. The dues that each of you pay is key to the day-to-day running of our offices. However, the volunteer hours that you and your employees offer to us are also instrumental in making our Chamber function properly. Each month this section features Chamber volunteers who have demonstrated extra effort for the month. It is our hope that we will see each of you in this column soon.

watch your body sculpt into WOW! - no intimidation - low impact - loads of fun

We are a boutique studio, using small isometric movements at a ballet barre. We do serious body sculpting in a way that is fun and upbeat with high energy music. We work all of our body and quickly change the shape of abs, seat, thighs and shoulders, but in a fun way that is different than any other exercise.

Strengthen and lengthen is what we do, by fatiguing the muscle with tiny movements and then stretching it long and lean. After about 8 classes, your body changes so entirely much that it becomes completely addictive.
