Please come in and introduced yourself to Janet if you have not met her and join with me in welcoming her back to our school after a number of years. Welcome Tea and Movie Night Don’t forget that tomorrow night is our annual welcome tea and movie night. Could each family please bring along a dish to share for tea. Tea will be from 6.00 pm with entertainment and a family-friendly movie to fol-low. All school families are welcome! Endoreic Movie Presentation Night @ Lake Lascelles After many weeks of working hard on their movie projects, this Saturday night all will be revealed when the Endoreic Movie night screens the work of all the project participants from the Hopetoun group, Murtoa and War-racknabeal groups. There are prizes up for grabs and it’s a popular vote that will decide the winners. We hope you are able to come along and support our students (the youngest in the competition) and enjoy the fin-ished products of their work. We thank the Yarriambiack Shire Council for their support in offering this opportunity—it has been a wonderful ex-perience for all of the students and has exposed them to skills and learn-ing we otherwise would not be aware of! Victorian School Councils Training & Information Evening A School Council training session will be held at Tempy Primary School from 7-9pm next Tues-day 19th April. The evening will focus on school finance operations and procedures and is open to all schools, parents and teachers. Please contact myself at school by Monday 18th April if you are interested in attending this informative evening session. Cyber Safety Talks On Tuesday our Grade 5&6 students were very fortunate to have Ally from the Murray Mallee Legal Service join us to talk about cyber safety and the world of social media. Ally spoke to our students about the laws around cyber bullying and sexting as well as how to stay safe and alert while online. Thankyou to Cindy Wooding from Hopetoun & District Neighbourhood House for organising this session for us. Pat on the Back! It has been such a pleasure to see how well our students have settled back into school after the Easter holiday break. All of our students have kept up with their daily reading practice and have also managed to complete their homework tasks over the holidays. Everyone has come back to school with a smile on their face and a positive attitude. Well done everyone– keep up the great work!
