From the Principal: Welcome to Week 4. Another busy fortnight gone, and with only 6 weeks remaining, we have many events on the calendar. Please familiarise yourself with the events for the rest of the term, keeping up to date with what is happening around the school. Well done to the team for another successful ‘Day for Daniel’. It was great to see everyone engage in the day by wearing RED, and participate in conversations around child safety. Some delicious RED banana smoothies and RED pizza was enjoyed by all. Thanks to the Surf Life Saving Queensland for their ongoing support with supporting regional schools. We are extremely thankful to have the SLSQ come out and run us through some of the key messages around water safety. This term we also head to Noosa Beach to participate in some surf safety awareness games and activities. The WTGGG cricket team has progressed to the Regional Cup Final which will take place at One Mile oval this Friday. Well done to Riley, Tyler, Cooper and Dillon who will represent (W) Woolooga and the WTGGG. The team will take on school from as far as Bundaberg, down to the southern Sunshine Coast. We wish the boys and the team the best of luck for Friday. We welcome the Instrumental Music group from Kilkivan State School who will pass through Woolooga on Thursday. We look forward to hearing the wonderful music that you have been working on. Thanks to the crew from Kilkivan for their time. Thanks to the P&C, a Halloween Dance Party will be held on Thursday afternoon. Special guest DJ Ash-troid will be entertaining us with some tunes, as well as some fun games and activities to celebrate the Halloween festival. The day will be a uniform-free day and students are encouraged to dress to theme. We conclude this week with our Pre-Prep program this Friday, available for any families with children who are of pre-school age. This year we have extended our Pre-Prep program into term 3 and 4 to ensure that young children develop a sense of belonging and awareness of school’s procedures and ways of working. Finally, last week we acknowledged Teacher’s Day! A special thanks to Ms Bannister for her ongoing efforts to ensure that Woolooga students have every opportunity to succeed. I would also like to acknowledge the work of Mrs Matthew, Mrs J and Mrs Elson who continue to work with our students', developing their academic, social and emotional needs. PBL:This fortnight we are targeting the positive behaviour of greeting people.Whether it be staff, students or parents, we are all encouraged to BE RESPECTUFUL and greet people, when theyare near. Students have previously explored different ways of acknowledging people and use them to say ‘HELLO’.In addition to greeting people, students are encourage to use their eye-contact when greeting. This is a sign thatyou acknowledge the persona and welcome them to the school.

BINGO NIGHT:This Saturday the 2nd November, our final BINGO night for the year will take place. Please see the following pagesfor more details.

Over the next week I will be on leave, leaving Mrs Le Baq and Ms Bannister in charge. If you have any pressingmatters throughout the week, please don’t hesitate to to email.

I wish you all a productive fortnight ahead and look forward to being back on deck in Week 6.

Yours in Education,

Mr N Dargusch
