th19 CONGRESS OF ASIAN SOCIETY FOR VASCULAR SURGERYth thTHE 13 ASIAN VENOUS FORUM IN CONJUNCTION WITH 12 CHINA SOUTHERN ENDOVASCULAR CONGRESS

    ASVS 2018GUANGZHOU CHINA

    Dear All:

elcome to Guangzhou, China to join the 19th Congress of the Asian Society for WVascular Surgery and the 13th Asian Venous Forum in conjunction with 12th China Southern Endovascular Congress which will be held from 12-15, July, 2018.

Its first ASVS meeting in 1998 at Beijing and its second meeting at Shanghai in 2007,

this is China’s third time hosting an ASVS meeting. China’s economics has improved

greatly in the past 4 decades after a change in the Chinese government allowing more

opportunities and culture for Chinese innovators and trade development. The

government continuously invests the funding to the Chinese healthcare system to

enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare in China. Citizens benefit from the

healthcare system with more built state-of-the-art facilities, improved medical

    techniques, and service.

This meeting is themed on “Collaboration, Advancement, and Innovation on Treatment

of Vascular Diseases in Asia.” It reflects the main goal of the Society to craft more

opportunities between vascular specialists to communicate and exchange knowledge on

improving clinical diagnosis, clinical practice and medical research of vascular diseases

in Asia. The ASVS 2018 program will continue the didactic lectures, debates,

workshops; moreover, it will be decorated with an exclusive young vascular surgeon

surgical skill competition and a unique vascular journals summit meeting. Remarkably,

this year’s ASVS meeting aims for enhancing and seeking for future opportunities on

collaborations with more communities such as Society for Vascular surgery (SVS) and

European Society for Vascular surgery (ESVS). SVS will present history videos to

review the great innovations in the history of vascular surgery. The special session of

“Eastern Vascular Surgeons meet with Western Vascular Surgeons” will discuss the

vascular surgeon training programs, database establishment, and innovation in

vascular diseases among different countries. We believe these novel elements will keep

improving the treatment of vascular diseases, expanding knowledge on vascular

diseases and also collaborating among vascular specialists not only in Asian countries

    but also around the globe.

We are excited about ASVS2018 that will be hosted at Guangzhou, better known as

Canton, China’s busiest transport and trade center while being the third largest city in

the country. A giant metropolis, Guangzhou is home to gleaming towers, leafy alleys,

exclusive buildings, cuisine, and culture. Take this opportunity to explore this tropical

cosmopolitan right in the south of china, with unique chances for sightseeing,

shopping, Lychee fruit tasting, and dining.

Thank you for supporting ASVS 2018, and welcome to Guangzhou.

    Prof. Shenming Wang

    Congress Chairman, ASVS 2018

    Dear All:

e are delighted to welcome you to the 19th Congress of Asian Society for WVascular Surgery and the 13th Asian Venous Forum in conjunction with the 12th China Southern Endovascular Congress. In the past few months, the organising

committee have put a lot of efforts together and produced a diverse scientific program.

ASVS 2018 has brought together over 100 outstanding invited speakers, covering all

spectrums of aortic and peripheral arterial surgery, as well as new innovations and

treatment of venous diseases to dialysis access. The meeting is held in conjunction

with the 12th China Southern Endovascular Congress, one of the premier vascular

meetings in China, and will record one of the largest attendances in our history. This

will be an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange between Asia and

    international experts.

Our thanks are extended to the Health Care Industry for their support of the Congress

and for contributing to an extensive Exhibition. In addition, there are ample workshops

conducted with renowned international experts on the latest vascular surgery products,

to provide all with a unique hands-on opportunity.

Once again, we would like to extend a warm welcome to every one of you, to have a

wonderful meeting and also enjoy the metropolitan city of Guangzhou.

    Prof.

    Secretary General , ASVS
