PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTInstructions to Student
The practical assessment includes a Project Assessment.
The Project Assessment is a set of tasks that must be completed in a workplace, or in an environment with conditions similar to that of a real workplace.
This assessment will help you demonstrate skill requirements relevant to introducing cloud computing into business operations.
You will choose to complete this project via simulated workplace or a suitable workplace. You will be required to complete a range of tasks and develop the materials as described as your portfolio of evidence for this unit.
ACCESSING INTRANET PAGES & EXTERNAL LINKS There are instructions in this workbook that will refer you to intranet pages and or external links. These intranet pages and external links are formatted in Green Underlined Text.
To access these, hold the Ctrl key for Windows users or the Command ⌘ key for Mac users while clicking on these links.

PROJECT ASSESSMENT
The Project Assessment is a set of tasks that must be completed in a workplace, or in an environment with conditions similar to a real workplace.
This assessment will help you demonstrate skill requirements relevant to introducing cloud computing into business operations. The combine projects tasks create a portfolio of evidence that is used to assess your competence in this unit of study.
PROJECT ASSESSMENT
Selecting Your Assessment PathwayYou have two (2) assessment pathway options for completing this project and subsequent portfolio of evidence.
Choose 1 of the below options to conduct your assessment, once started to change the pathway, means that you have to start the project again. Ensure you have read all task requirements, and resource requirements to ensure you choose the best option for yourself.
WORKPLACE PATHWAY
If you have access to a workplace, it is recommended that you complete the project assessment in the workplace, provided that the workplace will provide you access to the resources required for assessment outlined above and will allow you to complete the assessment activities in this project within the workplace.
IMPORTANT: Before choosing this method of assessment ensure you have checked with your workplace if you can complete the assessment within the workplace.
SIMULATED PATHWAY
If you currently do not have access to a suitable workplace or your workplace does not have the resources required for this
BSBSMB412 -Student Assessment Workbook Part B - Project Version No. 1.0Australian College of Business and Accounting Page 5
assessment, use this pathway.
IMPORTANT!All signatures/initials in your submissions, including yours, must be handwritten and dated. Submissions with signatures/initials must be scanned.
WORKPLACE PATHWAY
If you are selecting the workplace pathway, you will need to complete the project assessment within the workplace.
If you are not currently in a workplace, you will need to approach an organisation that will allow you to complete this project assessment using their workplace.
You may substitute the name of the workplace and any other contact details with fictitious details if the organisation is concerned about the confidentiality of information. However, the workplace must be real.
If you don’t have access to a suitable workplace, then you should use the simulated workplace scenario included in the assessment. Templates for all documentation you need for the assessment are provided within this workbook.
If you are completing this project using the workplace pathway, instructions in red boxes with the suitcase icon such as this are for you.
SIMULATED PATHWAY
If you are selecting the simulated pathway, you will need to use the BSBSMB412 Simulated Assessment provided in this link:
Accountability Now Scenarios
username: acobalearner password: BusinessAccounting@123The Accountability Now scenario includes all the information and details you will need to complete the project assessment.
To complete the project assessment using the simulated pathway, you will require the assistance of colleagues, friends, or fellow students to participate in the different assessment activities included in this
BSBSMB412 -Student Assessment Workbook Part B - Project Version No. 1.0Australian College of Business and Accounting Page 6
project.
If you are completing this project using the simulated pathway, instructions in yellow boxes with the house icon such as this are for you.
