THE OPPORTUNITY

• Classic Hotels & Resorts® purchased the 204-room Firesky Resort & Spa in early 2016 and began a $17 million reinvention.

• The reinvention will consist of all guest rooms and suites, public areas including the resort’s 14,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as the lobby, lobby bar and restaurant.

SAM GROSSMAN ChairmanAs the Chairman of Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts®, Sam Grossman began his real estate career with the purchase of Chris-Town Mall in the early 1960s and eventually built a portfolio of commercial properties including shopping centers, office buildings, hotels and resorts, multi-family residential and agricultural land. He attended UCLA and Stanford University and was Arizona’s Democratic candidate for the United States Senate in 1970. Sam is a well-known real estate lecturer and has spoken in various cities around the world. He is a graduating member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a member of the Chief Executive Organization, a retired member of the Board of Trustees of the United States Ski Team, and Founder of the Arizona Biltmore Children’s Charities.

CHARLES CARLISE DirectorCharles Carlise was appointed President of Grossman Company Properties in 1976 after having joined GCP in April of 1967 as Vice President of Operations and is celebrating 50 years with GCP. He was appointed Director in 1995. Prior to his employment at GCP, Charles was Vice President and Senior Title Officer of Lawyers Title of Arizona, having advanced to that title at the youngest age ever in the history of the company. Charles, a graduate of Arizona State University, has been involved in various organizations including the Young Presidents’ Organization, International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, Shopping Center Industry Political Action Committee, Land Title Association, and the Right-of-Way Association. He has been on the boards and committees of the Foundation for Senior Living, the Hidden Springs Community School, Xavier High School Board and the Diocese of Phoenix Financial Development Committee.

JOHN GROSSMAN PresidentAs President, John Grossman is responsible for the development, management and coordination of strategic projects and acquisitions. John also oversees Development and Design Management for Classic Hotels & Resorts® and is involved in all aspects of project conception, design direction, marketing and programming. In addition, John is President of Classic’s parent company, Grossman Company Properties. John began his career at Work Force Housing Associates, a San Francisco based developer specializing in residential in-fill projects throughout the Bay Area. In 2005, John attended the University of New South Wales and received his Masters in real estate development. While completing his studies, he began work with Greengate Property Group, a Sydney, Australia based developer specializing in Senior Accommodation. During his 5 years at Greengate, John managed the development and design management of more than 500 independent and assisted living units. John is a graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization and Urban Land Institute.

W. MATTHEW CROW Chief Executive OfficerMatt Crow has served as Chief Executive Officer of Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts® since joining the firm in 1991. Prior to his position with GCP, he was an investment banker in New York and one of the founders of Citicorp Investment Bank’s international real estate finance group. Matt received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated with honors with a BA degree in History and a BBA degree in Management, also from UT-Austin. He is the past President of the Board of Directors of the Urban Land Institute – Arizona District Council, and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Heard Museum, as Vice Chairman of the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, and President of Biltmore Area Partners. Matt is currently a member of World Presidents’ Organization.

JAKE GRAY Executive Vice PresidentJake Gray holds the position of Vice President of Acquisitions and Development with Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts®. In this role, Jake participates in the acquisition, financing, strategy, development and operations of various new and existing assets in the portfolio. In addition, Jake oversees Classic’s sustainability program to incorporate sustainable strategies into development projects and operational programs. He is currently serving as Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Partnership Forum Program and Vice Chair of ULI’s Young Leaders Group. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, minor in Business from Northern Arizona University and a Professional Certificate of Real Estate Development from Arizona State University’s Masters in Real Estate Development Program.

RICHARD BEHR Chief Operating OfficerRichard Behr leads daily operations and profitability of Classic Hotels & Resorts®. Richard brings over 25 years of experience and leadership to the hospitality industry providing considerable expertise working with hotel companies including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Destination Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Richard has also provided leadership and guidance to such prestigious properties as The Phoenician Resort, Arizona Biltmore and Royal Palms Resort & Spa. Richard has been the recipient of numerous industry awards bestowed by Mobil, AAA, and Condé Nast and was appointed to the Governor’s Tourism Alliance. In addition, he has served on the boards of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Richard earned a degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

ENNIS DALE Senior Vice President & General CouncilEnnis is celebrating 23 years with Grossman Company Properties. He joined in March 1995 as Senior Vice President. Ennis had previously served as Senior Vice President of one of the country’s largest title insurance companies and as President of its real estate development subsidiary. Prior to that, he was responsible for the successful financial restructuring of one of the Southwest’s largest real estate development and homebuilding companies and refinancing in excess of $500 million of debt. LARRY COLTHARP Senior Vice President & CFOLarry Coltharp joined Grossman Company Properties in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, Larry oversees all financial, treasury, tax and information technology functions. Larry brings over 35 years of experience to the company, having started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Touché Ross & Co. in New Orleans and Atlanta. He later held Director of Finance and Controller positions with several leading Fortune 500 and Fortune 500-equivalent international organizations in the Atlanta area. Larry graduated with honors from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Companies and Financial Executives International.

STANLEY GRAY Senior Vice President, ConstructionStanley Gray oversees expansions, renovations, build outs and major capital projects while providing support to ongoing replacement reserve and facilities management programs. Stanley is a 40 year veteran of GCP, overseeing a diverse array of construction projects including expansions, renovations, tenant improvements, environmental issues and major capital projects. Throughout his tenure with Classic’s parent company, Grossman Company Properties, Stanley has directed expansions of retail malls, office building projects and hotel development.

ANNE MCGOLDRICK Senior Vice President, ManagementAnne began her real estate career in 1980 at Grossman Company Properties. 37 years later she continues to be involved in a wide range of management duties within the Grossman organization. She oversees the management and marketing of the Arizona hotels and properties as well as coordinates the Arizona Grand Villas program. Anne’s past positions with GCP include the coordination of corporate reporting requirements to our various lenders, and she has held the position of General Manager of Biltmore Fashion Park, Town & Country, and Chris-Town Spectrum Mall. Anne is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She has served as the ICSC State Operations Chair and currently serves on the Board of the Arizona Real Estate Association.

MARY CROWE Vice President, Quality AssuranceMary Crowe provides management oversight of service and quality standards for Classic Hotels & Resorts®. In this role, Mary participates in renovation, re-launch and quality initiatives for Classic Hotels. She has managed a number of luxury properties in California and has worked extensively with renovation, relaunch and new construction projects. Mary serves on several boards including California Hotel & Lodging association, Visit Carmel and the Carmel Foundation.

She is a graduate of Cornell University General Managers Program and holds a Human Resources Management certificate from Sonoma State University.

TIM PRICE Vice President, Sales and MarketingTim Price provides management oversight of the sales, marketing and revenue strategies for Classic Hotels & Resorts®. He has held a number of leadership positions, including Market Sales Leader for 26 Marriott hotels throughout California. Tim also served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa where he successfully positioned the landmark property as the rate and occupancy leader. Tim was employed with Marriott for more than 20 years. Tim is a recipient of the coveted Sales Leader of the Year Award honoring his exceptional accomplishments within the hospitality industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Hotel and Restaurant Management degree from the University of Wisconsin.

DAVE YEAGER Vice President, FinanceDave Yeager structures all transitions and manages the hotel portfolio with a customized ownership approach to hotel finance. Dave provides 34 years of financial management and leadership to the hospitality industry. He has guided financial operations for such prominent companies as Marriott International, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts and Stouffer Hotels & Resorts. Dave has directed notable ownership groups including Nestle USA, Alcoa, JMB Realty, Lloyd’s of London, CTF Holdings, MONY Life and AXA Financial.

THOMAS ROSARIOVice President, Revenue ManagementThomas is responsible for providing overall revenue management leadership and strategic guidance for all properties leading to increased profitability and RevPAR Index for our collection of hotels. He brings over 21 years of hotel experience, including department leadership positions in Front Office, Reservations and Revenue Management. Most recently, Thomas was Director of Market Strategy for White Lodging Services overseeing revenue management for several hotels in Indianapolis. Prior to that, Thomas was employed with the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for eight years as Director of Revenue, Financial Analyst overseeing responsibilities for a $140 million operation. He has received the Presidents Circle Award/Fairmont Masters five times.

Thomas has also overseen Revenue divisions in the Portland, Hawaii and Chicago Markets

NANCY SILVER Vice President, Organizational DevelopmentWith over 25 years in Human Resources, Nancy Silver has spent her professional life in the hospitality industry. Her career highlights include opening the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, 17 years with Destination Hotels as the Area HR Director for Royal Palms Resort and Spa, and, most recently, transitioning the former Ritz Carlton Phoenix into the new Camby Hotel.
