Harmland Weddings is one of the leading multimedia production companies in the Dallas and Houston areas serving all events that require videography photography DJ lighting and photobooth services Harmland began as a one-man videography company in Monroe LA by Chris Harmon Chris began to explore the horizons and the potential of his company and moved into the Dallas and Houston area to network and expand clientel

During the process of growing our video team a need for photography and DJ services was identified After adding these additional services Harmland added lighting and photobooths along with music production which progressed Harmland Weddings into the ldquoWedding Collectiverdquo phase

CINEMATIC LOVE STORY - $1500One of the most exciting services we offer We will sit with the bride and groom and create a short film script We will have a rehearsal and we will shoot the film It will be a creative short movie to tell your love story This video will be played for the first time at the reception A Make up artist and a Hair Stylist will be included in this price for the bride Additional cast members may require and extra charge

PHOTO MONTAGE - $200Send us all of the photos that you have of the future bride and groom Also include some family pics We can put together a slide show to play during dinner or a video to serve as a display that will loop all night You can also do sections where only photos of the bride and groom play during the first dance then the groom and his family play during Mother and Son dance and bride and her family during Father and Daughter dance

FAMILY INTERVIEWS - $200During the reception we will get the bridal party close friends and family to take a moment and give well wishes to the camera We will include this into your final video

SAME DAY EDIT - $1000Same Day Edits allow us to bring an editor to your Wedding day As we film the day we will deliver footage to the editor as we go During the reception the editor will be able to play back the beginning of the day and the ceremony clips Later that evening the editor will add the reception footage to the final video and your video will be ready for the next day

ADDITIONAL VIDEOGRAPHER - $300Feel that you may need to add one additional Cameraman An extra cameraman will allow for additional coverage more creative and detail footage and Live Feed camera access if needed

HAZE MACHINE - $150Haze is a bit different from fog and dry ice Fog machines are meant for one big blast at that moment and then fades away Dancing on the clouds surfaces the ground and last for about 5 minutes Haze sits in the room and gives it a elegant romantic feel to the room Haze stays for long periods of time Haze is GREAT with all of the lighting that you put into the room This is not recommended if you do not plan on doing much lighting but if you do Haze is amazing for your event

UPLIGHTINGOften we are asked how much lighting do we need or how many uplights should we get It really depends on how you want your overall look of the room to be The less lights the more darker the room will be with a pop of color The more lights you have will enhance the room entirely You can never have too many uplights as there are always something that we can do with them to enhance the room Our preset Lighting Packages are designed to give you an experience but they can always be customized according to the look you are going for and the size of the venue Watch this video that we created on Uplighting

PINSPOTSPin spots make a huge difference to your floral centerpieces Pin Spots are probably the most over looked piece of lighting as it can turn your whole wedding into a Gala style event The amount of pin spots needed is the amount of things you wish to light up The Cakes are always a good thing to light up The Floral center-pieces at your guests tables are the best thing that you can light up in the whole room Even if its just the larger centerpieces it will elevate the room The sweet heart table is another spot to light up Take a look at these before and after photos of what Pin spots do to a room

STRING LIGHTINGIf you are having an outdoor wedding and need lighting String lighting is the way to go You can do either the Cafe style lights or the Lantern style lights This will help keep the evening running smooth and not forced to use big outdoor lights that attracts bugs You can string them however you like from side to side or zig zag We bring out our own poles to ensure we hang them the proper way and do not have to mount on to the venue at all With our lights we can actually mix it in with the DJ sound to create party lights once the dance floor opens

DELIVERYFor Video and Photo after the event is over we request final assets to help create your project Once we receive all requested material we then begin the editing process We usually ask for 6-8 weeks for delivery This includes finishing up previous projects downloading all footage and photos editing and designing the structure of your project correcting the color of your project correcting the audio previewing the final project finalizing and converting to HD We will then invite you out to ldquoMovie Night at the Studiordquo where we will watch the final project and enjoy complimentary wine and popcorn together Any changes and corrections needed or requested will be documented and notated at the movie night Allow us another week to make the final corrections and the we will ship the final product to you

How long have you been in business Harmland Weddings has been in full functioning professional business since 2009 upon graduating college Training took place in high school in the year of 2003 Our Photographers DJ and Videographers all went to school together and started doing their profession in college around the 2004-2012 years

How did the company begin The videographers with Harmland Weddings as well as the Photographers MCrsquos and DJs all went to college at Grambling State University During the years of 2003-2012 our staff developed training at the school Coincidentally we all had a common interest in moving to Dallas and started a Wedding Company together

Do you work the weddings yourself or do you contract out the work I Chris Harmon personally am the owner of the company I am also one of the trained Videographers that work for the company Only talents that are hired and trained by Harmland Weddings will work our events We do not contract work out to people on Craigslist or people that we have not worked with before If we are not eligible to provide a Harmland Weddings trained staff member for your event then we will refer you to our Preferred Vendor List that includes other professionals that we know trust and love to see gain your business and will provide the best service possible as we would

When am I considered booked and you are officially working my wedding Once contract and deposit is received then your date is officially booked We can not hold dates until that is completed

Do you have insurance Yes Harmland Weddings holds a Million Dollar Umbrella Policy that covers any incidents that may be caused by our behalf Most of the venues will require all of your vendors to have this In the event they ask you for this the answer is yes

Do You Travel Yes We do destination weddings as well We currently market to Dallas and Houston areas We do a lot of Louisiana Weddings as well We have traveled to many states such as Illinois Alabama Florida and more for weddings We have also done destination Weddings as far as Cancun Mexico Travel Charges may be required Every Destination situation may be different

DISC JOCKEY AND MC QUESTIONS

Do your DJ play all music Yes Our DJs are apart of National DJ associations and Industry groups of professional DJs that share knowledge music and styles daily Every weekend DJs are challenged with new opportunities and new missions to accomplish After booking our DJs we make sure that we have intensive meetings to insure we know who you are and your background so that we can make references during the evening we know the range of people attending the wedding so that we know who is watching and we know what kind of music the bride and groom wants to hear

What is the benefit of adding a MCHost with the DJ The DJ can do everything that the Host can do The difference is that the DJ will have to stay behind the DJ booth and perform and talk on the Microphone The MC will actually allow the DJ to focus on reading the crowd and playing the music while the MC will be able to utilize a wireless microphone and host and entertain the evening from the dance floor The MC will also be able to get everyone to the dance floor and teach them how to wobble cha cha slide cupid shuffle (all of the family line dances) start the soul train line etc The MC is also able to help assist the planner or the family with the flow of things on the timeline to ensure everything takes place and everything ends in a timely manner

How do we know who will our DJ will be All three of our DJs are well rounded DJs and are able to cater to any party and any style They were trained to operate all genre of music and communicate with the client to get a understanding of the party Any of the DJs will give you a great time and customize your wedding to your likings If you are familiar with one of our DJs from visiting another event or meeting them at a bridal show you are more than welcome to request that specific DJ If he is not available we can select another DJ or have you meet the others to choose After the contract you will immediately begin working with your DJ

How can I see the DJ before we book This is a great question that no one in the world has found the real answer to yet Here is the deal We try to sell our clients on what our DJs do and what our MCs do We try to show small clips of them in action for you to get an idea of what to expect We also try to have all our clients involved in our talents social media pages to see them in action as they go We also push our clients to write detailed reviews especially about the DJs so that you can see what others thought Some of the most requested scenarios are Can you come to one of their events Yes you can come The thing to consider is that the event you attend will be catered to that particular bride So if you are a Party Animal and the bride we are currently servicing is calm and collective and not really into having a large party the event may not do you justice as it is not catered to you at that time Plus you wouldnrsquot want anyone popping up at your wedding to see the DJ on your day would you So we try to not encourage that Most videos that we have online are edited So you will see the DJ being an actual DJ and see his cool lights and setup but the video is edited so you wont have a real feel for what the party

My venue doesnrsquot allow Fog Machines but I really want Dancing on the Clouds What should I do Things to know about dancing on the clouds and fog machines Fog machines uses fake fog When used it travels up to fill up the room with a smokey look Venues tend to not allow this because it can set off the fire alarms and the sprinklers Which is understandable Dancing on the Clouds uses a Dry Ice machine Dry Ice creates a real genuine thick fog that stays low to the ground It never travels up towards the ceiling and it evaporates to water It will cause no harm to the building or set off any alarms

What is the purpose of the Wedding Collective Our main focus is to sell our clients a team of people who work together every weekend that knows the ends and outs of the wedding industry and know the good and bad of running a wedding day A team of people who communicate and work together on making our clients wedding day a success By offering the major services in one company it allows the clients to focus more on their engagement and other aspects of their wedding while we are able to take care of your entertainment services It makes it easier to deal with one person that can mediate and gather all of the information you need from multiple services then having to meet and call many different companies

Do you still offer services individually if we do not want to use all of your services Absolutely We tend to sell our Harmland Weddings brand more than anything so it is always great to have us all together However we definitely work well with other vendors and we love making that bond and connection with people helping to put together your special day

Do you guys offer Bundle Packages Yes There are some starter packages in our clients guide In the event those do not work out we will create a custom bundle deal for the services you are interested in

I notice that your prices are different from another vendor that I received a quote from Why is that All companies are different Everyone offers different packages have different styles provide different and unique traits personally have been in business a number of years has an extensive resume of clients has a certain amount of experience in their profession has a different brand and are all worth a different price It is the same as dealerships You have Mercedes and Lexus and then you have Dodges and Fords Nothing bad about anyonersquos pricing but everyone is priced by what they are worth We tend to range in the Average ball park range We are not the cheapest company in the city but we are not the highest priced either

Do you offer discounts We have special discounts for veterans bridal show attendees preferred wedding planners and preferred venues We also offer our bundle discounts Everything else is set in stone

Do you match prices For the most part No Some situations may allow us to cut a small discount Our brand is something that is well respected and trusted to ensure you have success with our services Our prices are average for the wedding industry based off of the equipment back up equipment and experience professionals that we provide As you encounter different quotes analyze the quality of what you are purchasing as cheap is not always good

Are there any hidden fees or costs The only additional fees that might occur outside of your quoted price is 825 Sales Tax for all Video and Photo deals Travel charges may apply if leaving outside of the DFW or Houston metroplex Those are the only other possible charges

How does your No Hourly Charge policy work for Videography and Photography When you book our Harmland Weddings staff we make no other plans on that day but your wedding Our focus is to capture the entire day from the time you are getting ready until the end of the night In the event something unfortunate is to happen where time is going to lag on because of a late start we do not want you panicking or worrying about your Photographer or Videographer having to leave or you having to pay more money Usually we are with you 2-3 hours before the ceremony depending on how everything is going to flow We usually assist you with making the schedule Although we have a No Hourly charge policy we also like to make realistic schedules We do not want to show up too early and there is nothing to shoot or too late and we are rushing our shots

With your Photography Packages that includes only 200 photos do we get to pick the photos No We will pick the best 200 photos that tells your wedding day story The 200 photos we pick will be a mixture of the entire day that showcases everything that took place all of the creative shots and shots that we would want to show potential and future clients

Can we choose our own music for our videos For the Full Feature Film yes you may You can use whatever songs you want for your full video that will be mailed to you For the short highlight video that goes online we will pick the track The reason is that most people are going to pick a song that is copyright and is played on the radio by a famous person Companies are getting sued daily for this We do not want to be one of those companies All of the music we will use will be licensed music that helps enhance the story

How long does it take to get my products back Bridal session Love Stories Engagement shoots etc usually takes about 2 weeks to complete For Full Wedding days for Video and Photos we tell our clients 6-8 weeks Considering personal lives and servicing other clients we have to set realistic standards to give you quality work We prefer to do it all right the first time There are times where you will get your products back sooner but we must set that expectation going into any project to be fair
