All teachers are currently very busy writing and reviewing Semester 2 Student Reports. These reports reflect the academic and social progress your child has made during the semester. These reports will be sent home on Thursday 10 th December. Swim School will commence in the coming weeks. Please ensure notes and money are returned. Premiers Spelling Bee Seven Riverina and South West area students competed in the prestigious Premier’s Spelling Bee State Final in Sydney yesterday.

From Albury West Angus Bell participated in the Senior Division. This is such an impressive achievement for Angus to represent our school in what has grown to become the biggest spelling in competition in Australia.

Angus was successful in getting to the last 15 and went out on the unseen words in the 5th round. He went out on “toreador”. Angus had already

The Helpers Morning Tea will be held on 3rd December – please keep an eye out for your invitation.

Our annual sing-a-long will be held on Friday 11th December starting at 11.45am.

The K-2 students will attend Rumble Tumbles on Monday 14th December and the 3-6 students are invited to the end of year pool party which will be held on Tuesday 15th December.

The last day of the school term for students is the 16th December – which is also the date of the Year 6 Graduation dinner and disco.

Save the date – our Annual Presentation Day will be held on Monday 7th December at 11:45am.

This will be the last issue of book club for this year. A big thank you to all the students and teachers who have supported the school this year by purchasing books from the book club and book fairs.

PSSA Cricket News Round Three The junior cricket team played very well against LEPS Red and unfortunately ran out of time before a result was completed. LEPS completed their innings and scored 30 runs for seven wickets.

Albury West had a score of three wickets for 21 runs when the game had to be stopped due to running out of time. Jacob Horn nearly won the match for us scoring sixteen not out in very quick time.

When bowling, wickets were taken by Michael, Deacon, Reilly, Lachlan, Samson, Wade and Billy. The whole team fielded well and displayed

pleasing sportsmanship.

The senior team scored an impressive win over LEPS Red. We scored 86 runs for four wickets and restricted LEPS Red to 35 runs.

Praveen and Pacey batted very well with both having to retire after scoring 20 runs each.

Wickets were taken by Pacey, Jordyn and Aidan. Jake and Praveen bowled well. The accuracy of our bowling has shown significant improvement since the start of the season.

Round 4 matches were washed out.
