Why should yourco-op join?
The very structure of the co-op businessmodel, whereby farmers and ranchers arethe owners and control the business, makeit a ripe and EFFECTIVE tool forgovernment action.
When money is given in a collective fashionthere is more effectiveness and influencewith a bigger pot of money rather thansimply one check.
Many people believe they are a small fish ina huge ocean and can have little impact inthe political process. However, "rural folks"had a great impact on the 2016 presidentialand 2018 Texas statewide elections.
In 2020, state legislative districts will beredrawn and can potentially affect the ruralvs. urban demographic. Now is the time toprotect your industry!
By joining a group category, the co-opreceives special recognition at the annualstate co-op convention.
Can you imagine the powerful politicalmovement one co-op could bring toagriculture if each member contributed just50 cents for each of their acres to protectthe industry?
