and Swasey Library, located at 7001 6th Ave. According to City staff, the work began in March and will continue through May.

It is part of the City's ADA (Americans with Dis-abilities Act) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan. The internal areas of these facilities have already been upgraded to current ADA standards. Exter-nal upgrades represent the next phase of improve-ments. Each location, with the exception of the Rial-to Theater, requires signi cant concrete and asphalt removal and replacement to meet ADA required grades. To date, there have been 25 internal build-ing upgrades and seven external building upgrades as part of the ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.

Fourth, the City is accepting bids from contrac-tors to develop an environmental action plan that will incorporate existing City environmental goals and policies, as well as new measurable targets as recommended by the City's Advisory Committee and Sustainable Tacoma Commission, according to a legal notice published in March in the Tacoma Daily Index. Bid documents prepared by City staff show the plan should focus on speci c, high-priority actions the City and its partners should take over the next ve years. The goal is to generate a com-prehensive, concise, and actionable plan that will be approved by Tacoma City Council. A contract is expected to be awarded in May, and the nal report is expected to be completed by the end of November. The project budget is $90,000. The bid deadline ex-pires at 11 a.m. on Tues., April 14, 2015. More infor-mation is available online at cityoftacoma.org.

Finally, the City is accepting bids from contractors to provide a modernized and integrated park-ing management system, according to a legal no-tice published in March in the Tacoma Daily Index. Bid documents prepared by City staff show the City wants to more fully integrate the four components of its parking system: on-street metered parking; off-stage metered parking; enforcement; and park-ing citation processing. The bid deadline expires at 11 a.m. on Tues., April 28. A contract is tentatively scheduled to be awarded in June. More information is available online at cityoftacoma.org.
