The ASH Faculty, Staff and Assistants are excited to see you at Artists Simply Human in Tacoma! We are here to provide dancers, teachers and parents with an exciting weekend of non-stop dance. Your action packed weekend includes: a welcome show, convention classes, autograph/Q & A session with the ASH Faculty, teacher training seminars, teacher meet and greet, parent chat, parent class, scholarship auditions, performance showcase, collaboration class and closing show!

REGISTRATION Registration will take place in the lobby on Friday, April 20th at 5PM and Saturday, April 21st at 7AM. Upon registering you will receive your wristband(s), audition number(s) and additional workshop information. Dancers registered with a studio DO NOT need to individually check in at the registration booth. Teachers/Studio Representatives will pick up the registration materials for all dancers in their group.

RELEASE WAIVERS All dancers, teachers, studio representatives and observers must sign a “release and waiver of liability agreement” in order to participate at ASH Productions events. If you have not already done so, please visit www.ASHWaiver.com.

WRISTBANDS Each dancer, teacher, studio representative and observer will receive an Artists Simply Human wristband that must be worn at all times during the event, including during the Performance Showcase. Individuals not wearing a wristband will not be permitted to enter the ballrooms. Wristbands cannot be transferred, and if lost, full payment is required to receive a new band, NO EXCEPTIONS!

WORKSHOP CLASSES At Ar?sts Simply Human, dancers will participate in classes taught by the world renowned ASH Faculty. There will be two ballrooms in Minneapolis, 13 & Under and 14 & Up. On Sunday, April 22nd at 1:45PM, as an exciting conclusion to your weekend, the ASH Faculty will teach a collaborative class for all dancers incorporating all styles of dance.

AUDITIONS Auditions for scholarships will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 9:30AM for dancers Ages 7-10 and for dancers Ages 11 & Up at 1:45PM. You must audi?on with your appropriate age group. Dancers ages 7-10 must attend the Audition Combo Class on Saturday, April 21st at 8:45AM. Dancers ages 11 & Up must attend the Audition Combo Class on Saturday, April 21st at 12:45PM. Dancers ages 22 and up, as well as one day dancers, are not eligible to audition for scholarships. Dancers who are not audi?oning, teachers, studio representa?ves and observers may NOT be in the ballroom during audi?ons.

SCHOLARSHIPS The ASH Faculty will award numerous scholarships to dancers for Artists Simply Human’s Nationals, ASH Summer Intensive, ASH Apprentice, ASH Apprentice Runner Up, Summer Scholarships and ASH Faculty Pick Scholarships in addition to scholarships provided by ASH Sponsors. During the 17/18 tour, Artists Simply Human will be awarding over $3,000,000 in scholarships! Scholarships will be awarded to dancers based on class work as well as performance at the audition. Scholarship recipients will be announced during the closing show on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:15PM.

Q & A / AUTOGRAPH SESSION Join the ASH Faculty for a Q&A/autograph session on Sunday, April 22nd at 1:15PM to discuss opportunities available to up and coming dancers, what to expect in the professional world, and so much more. We encourage dancers, teachers, studio representatives and observers to participate and ask questions. 17/18 Tour Autograph posters are available for purchase at the merchandise booth. FACULTY PICK SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE AWARDED AT THE Q&A/AUTOGRAPH SESSION.

STUDIO SCHOOL & AMDA COLLEGE Studio School and AMDA College will have scholarship opportunities for dancers in the Intermediate/Advanced auditions. They will be awarding over $75,000 in College Scholarships in every ASH city this season! There will be representatives in select cities!

CLOSING SHOW To conclude your ASH experience, dancers, teachers, studio representatives, observers and guests are invited to attend the closing show on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:15PM. The closing show will include the final round of scholarship auditions, Judges Choice Routines from the Performance Showcase, ASH Faculty performances, ASH Assistant performances and scholarship announcements.

CLOSING SHOW REHEARSAL In order to participate in the closing show, scholarship finalists must attend the closing show rehearsal on Sunday, April 22nd at 7AM. If invited to perform in the Closing Show, black booty shorts are preferred for female dancers and black shorts are preferred for male dancers. Dancers who are not par?cipa?ng (teachers, studio representa?ves and observers) may NOT be in the ballroom during rehearsal.

TEACHER / STUDIO REPRESENTATIVES Teacher Training Seminar : Saturday, April 21st at 10AM with Gregg Russell and Sunday, April 22nd at 9AM with Liseè Bustamante in the Mee?ng Room 318. Teachers are invited to attend ASH’s energizing and motivating teacher training seminars. These hour long sessions, are exciting, informative and interactive. These seminars will leave you feeling inspired and refreshed, don’t miss out! Performance Showcase : Teachers and Studio Representatives will have priority reserved seating in the first two rows. Teacher Meet And Greet - Bagels With the ASH Faculty : All registered teachers and studio representatives are invited to join the ASH Faculty for bagels and coffee on Saturday, April 21st from 8AM - 8:30AM.

MINI MOVERS The Mini Movers level is designed as an introduction to the dance convention experience for ages four to six years old. Registration will be held Saturday, April 21st at 1PM and includes one complimentary Observer band for Mini Movers classes ONLY and a T-Shirt for all Mini Movers participants. Mini Movers classes will include : Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Ballet. The Mini Movers will have the opportunity to perform at the start of the Performance Showcase on Saturday evening on the main stage. Get ready to MOVE Mini Movers! PARENTS *You do NOT need to be a registered observer to par?cipate in parent ac?vi?es.Observer Wristbands : Guests wishing to view workshop classes may purchase an Observer wristband prior to the event, or from the Merchandise Booth at any time during the event. Full Weekend, One Day and Friday Only wristbands are available. Observers may not dance or take notes during class.

theCOMPANY INTENSIVE ON TOUR All registered dancers are eligible to be selected to work with ASH Faculty, Tovaris Wilson, to learn an original piece that will be performed in the Closing Show on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:15PM. Dancers must attend the Open Hip Hop Class on Friday, April 20th from 7PM - 8PM to be eligible. If selected, dancers must attend rehearsals on Friday, April 20th from 8PM - 11PM, Saturday, April 21st from 11AM - 11:45PM (Dress rehearsal, wear your full costume) and Sunday, April 22nd at 7AM. Teachers, Studio Representatives, and observers may NOT be in the ballroom during rehearsals.

COSTUMES : GIRLS : Please bring a pair of black leggings (no pattern), a black top (t-shirt, tank top or crop top) and black sneakers.

MEN : Please bring a pair of black pants (no pattern), a black top (t-shirt or tank top) and black sneakers. ALL DANCERS CHOSEN TO PERFORM WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A PART OF THE COSTUME AT THE ASH MERCHANDISE BOOTH!

PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE The ASH Performance Showcase will be held on Friday, April 20th at 6PM and Saturday, April 21st at 3:30PM. Attendance is free of charge. The Performance Showcase offers dancers a venue to share their art and expression in a supportive and comfortable environment. Studios and Independents are welcome to register solos, duets, trios and group numbers to be critiqued by the ASH Faculty ; no scores will be given. Critiques will be uploaded to your online Studio or Independent registration account following the event. Please review the program order and call immediately if you have any questions or changes. There will be strict adherence to the program order. Please be ready to perform when scheduled. Performance Showcase music must be uploaded to your Studio or Independent registra?on account two weeks prior to the event start date. (Please bring a backup CD/iPod to the event).

JUDGES CHOICE Judges Choice Awards will be chosen by the ASH Faculty from the Performance Showcase dances in recognition of all around outstanding performance quality. These dances will be invited to perform in the Closing Show on Sunday, April 22nd. Judges Choice Rou?nes will receive the opportunity to perform in the Closing Show on Sunday, FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $100 (solo/duet/trio) or a $250 (group) voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

STANDOUT ROUTINES The ASH Faculty will be choosing Standout Routines from the Performance Showcase that they would like to recognize for outstanding performance quality. Standout rou?nes will receive FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $100 voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

STUDIO SELECTIONS Each studio registering a minimum of 5 duet/trio/group dances will be eligible to receive a Studio Selection Award. Studio Selec?ons will receive FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $250 voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

CHOREOGRAPHY PICKS The ASH Faculty will be selecting routines from the Performance Showcase that have exhibited outstanding choreography. Choreography Pick rou?nes will also receive FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $100 voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

TECHNICAL EXECUTION PICKS The ASH Faculty will be selecting routines from the Performance Showcase that have exhibited outstanding technique. Technical Execu?on Picks will receive FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $100 voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

ENTERTAINMENT PICKS The ASH Faculty will be selecting routines from the Performance Showcase that have exhibited outstanding entertainment value. Entertainment Picks will receive FREE entrance fees to perform the rou?ne in the Open Compe??on at Ar?sts Simply Human’s Na?onals in Orlando, FL, in addi?on to a $100 voucher to be used towards future Performance Showcase entrance fees during the 18/19 regional tour season.

CRITIQUES All Performance Showcase numbers will be critiqued by the ASH Faculty in a collaborative manner on one audio / video file. Following the event, critiques will be uploaded to your Studio or Independent registration account. Your file can be downloaded at any time through the end of the 17/18 Tour Season. Cri?ques will be uploaded by Thursday following the event.

LIVE WEBCAST The Performance Showcase on Friday, April 20th at 6PM and Saturday, April 21st at 3:30PM and the Closing Show on Sunday, April 22nd at 2:15PM can be viewed on ASH’s LIVE WEBCAST by visiting www.ASHWebcast.com. Invite your friends and family to tune in! Please Note : Due to limited internet access, the webcast may not be available in every city.

MUSIC VIDEO CLASS Music Video Class is the opportunity to film a Music Video, shot and edited by a professional videographer. You can purchase the video at the ASH Photo/Video booth or online at ASHPhotoVideo.com. INTERMEDIATE DANCERS PLEASE WEAR AN ALL BLACK OUTFIT.
