TAD Group, formerly known as Tadawulat for Contracting, was established in 1994 in an aggressive endeavor to enhance environmental services in the Middle East and Africa. At the time of conception, there were few local environmental firms that were performing hazardous waste management and disposal services. The first Hazardous Waste project was in Saudi Arabia in 1999, handling 150 tons of US Military waste.

As the company grew, so did its reputation and types of services. Tadawulat has since become known as the environmental firm that offers the most comprehensive list of services at the highest quality in the Southwest Asia Region.

In 2003, Tadawulat was the first Middle Eastern company to be awarded the US Defense contract to package, ship, and dispose hazardous waste in nine countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Djibouti, Jordan, and Egypt). This is a comprehensive five year project that entails either the local disposal of hazardous waste when possible or shipping waste to partners throughout Europe for proper treatment, recycling, or disposal. All wastes are transported according to the Basel Convention for international hazardous waste movement.

Also, in 2003, Tadawulat formed TAD Logistics, a UAE based company that provides total logistical solution. TAD is proud to be the only logistics company in the Jebel Ali Free Zone with approval to handle hazardous cargo. It offers years of specialized experience in the freight forwarding, logistics and commercial storage sectors.

In order to continually facilitate the needs of our customers and develop a comprehensive and coherent core services, Tadawulat developed TAD Environment in 2005, a new environmental subsidiary that carries on its years of corporate learning and experience in hazardous waste management and consulting.

Thereafter, TAD Environment has improved on its overall corporate identity and integration even as it embarked on a streamlined portfol io of environmental services.

TAD Environment specializes in hazardous waste (HW) management and disposal. We have successfully disposed of more than 10,000,000 kg of hazardous waste over the last five years.

Waste management services include:

TAD Environment currently accepts all classes of hazardous waste (with the exception of explosive and radioactive materials). We are fully insured and will accept full liability once the waste is transferred to our control. Your waste will be managed, shipped, and disposed of, in accordance with local and international regulations such as the Basel Convention.

All projects will be assessed on an individual basis to ensure that the right remedial method is chosen. Our staff will determine the extent of contamination, obtain the necessary approvals, and complete your project with the liaison of the local environmental authority. We will complete your project professionally, with all projects starting with an initial site assessment to determine the extent of contamination and which will be supported by analytical data.

Our staff of professionals will work with the local environmental authorities and municipalities to obtain the necessary approval and permits. A Remedial Action Plan will be developed by Tad with multiple options for approval by our client as well as the local authorities prior to commencement of the project.

The Tad-assigned project manager will provide direct onsite coordination and oversight throughout the duration of the project. Detailed field reports will be collected to document work throughout the project. Contaminated material will be disposed of in accordance with local and international law. Lastly, a final Remedial Action Report will be compiled and submitted to our client for their records.

Mr. Khalid Albawardi completed his Masters Degree in Project Management in 1999 from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

Immediately after his graduation, he worked as General Manager for Seder Services, a Waste Management company owned by Seder Group. When Mr. Albawardi joined Seder Services, annual turnover was at $30 million. Four years later, the annual turnover was increased to $45 million and the profit margin was increased by 40%.

With a vision for the future, Mr. Albawardi resigned from Seder S e r v i c e s i n o rd e r t o e x p a n d Tadawulat's business. He has been actively running Tadawulat Group for the past fourteen years and has 6 years experience in hazardous waste removals.

Mr. Hara ld has over 20 years experience in the hazardous waste industry. Having worked in the commercial, operational, and project management sides of the hazardous waste business, both nationally and internationally,

Harald has a wealth of experience across the industry. Mr. Harald has  organized   Hazardous Waste removals from Portugal, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Pakistan and Uzbekistan for f inal disposal in Europe.  His experience includes chemical treatment, landfill, solvent recycling, high temperature incineration, site remediation, and packaging of all type of hazardous waste.

Mr. Rajesh is an MBA graduate from a reputed university in Dubai. He joined Modern Freight Shipping, one of the largest players in the logistics business in Dubai, as an Assistant Manager.

After six years with Modern Freight, Mr. Rajesh joined Tadawulat in 2003. He played an integral part in developing TAD Logistics and has since taken the company from a 600 sqm facility to a 14,000 sqm facility with a 25,000 sqm plot reserved for expansion.

TAD Group is in full throttle to expand its operations. In light of unprecedented growth in its Dubai operations, TAD Logistics is in the process of consolidating its experience in the business and prepping up for further expansion across the Middle East particularly in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

TAD is adamant to further strengthen its presence and market share in the UAE. Besides its current 11,000 sqm state of the art warehouse facility, it has in development 25,000 sqm allocated for chemical warehousing.

In its home country, Saudi Arabia, TAD Group, is in serious talks with authorities of Jubail Industrial Area to acquire a plot for developing TAD Logistics first facility in the Kingdom. With very good prospects for local and foreign direct investments in the Eastern Region, TAD is positive about positioning its expertise to fill the gap in chemical logistics services sector. Hence, TAD will be investing heavily along with partners to expand in Saudi Arabia to develop the sector and establish itself as a local industry leader in chemical logistics.

Finally, TAD Group sees potential growth and opportunity expanding in Qatar. Currently it is in the early stage of establishing its Qatar Office in preparation for opening a Chemical Warehouse in Doha. This is part of its two-pronged strategy for creating and establishing potential markets and capitalizing on its learnings and experience over the past several years in the sector.
