TAFE were fantastic when it came to training my staff. The Certificate IV in Frontline Management course gave my team the middle management skills they had been missing and the confidence to implement their skills immediately. Our team achieved a 100% pass rate. We will definitely be back to TAFE for more training.

I love how flexible TAFE has been; I was able to work at the pace that suited me and I will have completed my diploma in under a year which is exactly what I hoped for. I found working externally suited me perfectly and with great communication from my teacher, TAFE has given me confidence and the requirements I need to start a university degree.

Choosing to study on campus at TAFE, was the best decision I made to kick-start my career. Not only have I had the opportunity to meet like-minded people but have highly experienced and dedicated teachers who structure courses in a way that delivers the best “hands on” approach, better preparing me for what it’s really like in the Industry. This is what propelled me to start my own successful Garden & Soil Servicing Business and I haven’t looked back.

I’ve loved studying Graphic Design at TAFE Queensland East Coast. There have been awesome opportunities to be creative and develop a good sense of style. TAFE is very practical, relevant and geared towards preparation in the workplace. I am now ready to combine my creativity with the skills I’ve learnt at TAFE and make a mark in the graphic design industry.

Talented and experienced teachers to inspire your creativity! TAFE put me on the right path and taught me the knowledge physically and mentally to do this work. I still rely on it throughout my career and where it’s taking me. I didn’t have much knowledge before I started, so comparing that to what I know now is just amazing.

I can really recommend studying there if you’re serious about making a great career in music.

So far it’s been a really relaxed learning environment studying at TAFE Queensland East Coast; it’s fairly stress free and the course is well structured too.

I find TAFE offers a happy medium for adult learning and those just leaving school and the whole support network here has been phenomenal – really good.

I’m hoping to get into network administration in the future and this training is definitely preparing me for the transition from learning to work confidently.

Education, Training and Library Services

I employ staff with a TAFE Queensland East Coast education because they receive high quality training with practical placements that expose them to real work situations.

As a small business owner I’m not in a position to take risks with employees who aren’t adequately trained. There are a lot of ‘quick fix’ training providers out there offering the earth, but the reality is that our clients demand quality design outcomes and slapdash training just isn’t going to cut it.

TAFE is the most suitable college to study my course. The teachers are very friendly and the environment for learning is excellent for someone who is interested in automotive - local or international. Because of the course, I got a good job in Bundaberg. This place is beautiful. It feels like home and there are many things to do for fun and amusement.

I’m aiming to become a chef and into all sorts of foods, so studying at TAFE has been a really good experience so far.

It’s helped me get different job opportunities and allowed me to progress further towards my goal of becoming a chef.

It’s a more hands on experience here compared with school and I find I learn better that way and that it’s more relevant for the work I’ll be doing.

The real benefit of TAFE training is the quality of the instructors and the course material. All instructors had real-world experience and shared their knowledge from many years in investigations fields. Through the class work and practical excursions, this course provided me the necessary skills to be successful in investigations which has transferred directly to my work as a private investigator.

Jude Elvery is one of the most passionate teachers and the best teacher I’ve ever had. She taught us to care for people with compassion and dignity.

I’d really like a job in aged care where I can make people happy and give them the respect they deserve.

It makes you feel good because they’re happy and it’s really rewarding to see them smile.

As my first step from school into the real world, this course has given me the best start. My teacher understood how to get the best out of me and I became confident enough to implement what I learnt at my workplace, Showtime Dancewear. It has been very rewarding and I am looking forward to doing further studies to achieve my goals.
