TAG-VHS Diabetes Research

Centre at the VHS Hospital

Campus is now two years

old. As we forge ahead with

our research initiatives, a

new healing modality, we

have named Dynamic Acu-

puncture Mediated (DAMM)

Therapy, is complementing/

supplementing the BM Pulser

in the treatment of several

ailments and afflictions.

Our therapist, Mr. Rajan

Iyer, is skillfully using DAMM

therapy which is an expres-

sion of physical energy of

healing. He has combined

all the arts of energy

healing and customized

metaphysical energy re-

lease into thehuman

body through a holistic

understanding and expe-

rience of all modes of

healing and transfer of

macrocosmic energy into

the body’s cell

(microcosmic level-chi

energy).

DAMM therapy is a unique

and novel way of infusing

& transferring healing en-

ergy from the therapist to

the patient adapted from

Indian healing practices

inscribed in the Atharva-

naveda, an off-shoot of

the Rigveda This is entirely

different from the tradi-

tional Chinese or Japanese

acupuncture techniques, but

works with lightning speed

in the body of the recipi-

It sets right the dysfunctional

cells that cause disability / Dis-

ease) in the various systems like

the Locomotor (Joints, Tendons &

muscle), Central, peripheral and

autonomic nervous system, cardio-

vascular system, Alimentary system

including Liver, gall bladder, Pan-

creas, Kidneys and the Genito-

urinary systems, Eyes & vision, au-

ditory/hearing/vertigo, Endocrine

glands, Haematological disorders

and the skin & lymphatic diseases.

DAMM Therapy is also very

effective, in various conditions

like, mental retardation, autism,

cerebral palsies, BPD etc. espe-

cially when therapy is started in

the early stages of the condition.

The most remarkable aspect of

DAMM therapy, based on pilot

studies done so far at TAG VHS

DRC, is the speed with which

healing takes place, for what are

apparently chronic / long drawn-

out disabilities. Most of these

conditions treated by complex,

expensive and drug-based thera-

pies, often replete with side-

effects, have had limited success.

Metaphysical energy therapy is

not based on other esoteric prac-

tices like Hypnotism or magic, and

is a viable and sustainable heal-

ing modality, as evidenced by the

treatment of over 250 cases in

the past 5 months (since Aug.

2012). These procedures are all

done transparently, fully docu-

mented in our EMR and where

indicated photographed, and vid-

eographed (with consent of the

patients and with their privacy

protected).

This project is the first and the

only one of its kind. It is patient-

friendly, highly cost effective, and

has virtually no side-effects. It is

proposed to study in the Phase I

of this research project, 100 cases

of all types of Liver ailments and

allied intractable digestive disor-

Case I: Multiple skull fractures and haemorrhages

ders, that will be taken up for

treatment, documentation and

follow-up at the TAG VHS DRC.

Case I

Mr. A was discharged from a cor-

porate Hospital ICCU on

19/11/2012 and admitted to ICCU

at TAG VHS DRC. He had met with

an accident while riding a two-

wheeler on 26/10/12, initially

treated at the GH and was shifted

to Apollo Hospital, the next day.

At the time of admission to TAG-

VHS, he was “recovering from

multiple skull fractures, Subdural

& Subarachnoid Haemorrhages

and Coma (History of loss of con-

sciousness since the time of acci-

dent).” He was also suffering from

Lower respiratory tract infection

and Diabetes Mellitus. In view of

prolonged airway maintenance

and tracheal toileting tracheosto-

my was done by ENT surgeon on

30/10/2012. He came with Tra-

cheostomy tube, Ryle’s tube feed-

ing and condom drainage.

Dynamic Acupuncture Mediated

Metaphysical (DAMM) therapy

was administered to him by Mr.

Rajan Iyer everyday, apart from

Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field

Energy therapy using BM Pulser

over the appropriate areas of the

scalp and the limbs and physio-

therapy by Mr. Anand Kumar.

Gradually his conscious status

improved and became normal.

His mentation improved remark-

ably and he was able to speak

normally, follow commands and

answer questions coherently. He

was able to walk mostly on his

own with little support. Ryle’s

tube was removed and he was

able to eat on his own. Condom

drainage was removed and he

was able to void urine on his

own. Under advice from Prof. Mo-

han Kameshwaran, ENT Specialist,

the tracheostomy tube was re-

moved on 14/12/2012 and he is

able to breathe on

his own. Most

recent MRI scans

have shown that

he’s back to nor-

mal. He has even

regained his

memory and is very cheerful.

All’s well that ends well!

Case II

Mr. B, aged 68 years, had right-

sided Facial Paralysis (Bell’s Pal-

sy) and was admitted to TAG VHS

DRC for 2 trial sittings of DAMM

Therapy, on 10/8/2012. He con-

tinued with his previous prescrip-

tion. His Capillary Blood Sugar

Levels were monitored through-

out the day. Significant improve-

ment was observed after the

DAMM Therapy and he was dis-

charged on 13/08/2012. (See Pic-

tures)

Case III

Mr. C, aged 65 was admitted to

TAG VHS DRC with severe pain in

the left knee that had persisted

for over a year. On admission

there was swelling in the left

knee, stiffness and he was unable

to walk freely. He was started

with Chinese volcanic ash and oil

application for 6 hours followed

by the Pulser therapy 14 hours a

day for 3 days but experienced

minimal relief. 3 sittings of the

DAMM therapy and he could

walk freely, bend his knee and

climb stairs!

Case II: Bell’s Palsy

The diagnoses of Alzhiemer’s dis-

ease or dementia, has become a

stigma, for, inevitable, irreversible

and progressively deteriorating

form of dementia with mortality

predictions within 7 to 10 years of

diagnosis. Once diagnosed it be-

gets problems aplenty, more so to

the family, the near and dear and

the caregivers, rather than the

patients, who are in a world of

their own. The diagnosis and la-

beling of this condition which is

generally done by specialists is

rarely challenged.

Our limited experi-

ence at TAG VHS DRC

has shown at least in 2 of

the 3 cases treated with Pulsed

Electro Magnetic Field Energy

(PEMFE) Therapy and the Dy-

namic Acupuncture Mediated

Metaphysical (DAMM) Therapy,

there is scope for challenging the

original diagnosis. The drugs

used in the condition plus other

anti-psychotic drugs may be play-

ing an important role in worsen-

ing Alzhiemer’s. A few references

in world literature strengthens

this view.

We witnessed a dramatic re-

sponse to DAMM Therapy in an

80 year old lady, Patient No.1,

The improvement was sustained

and helped by marked reduction

of the drugs she was taking. Pa-

tient No.2, a 73 year old man, is

being helped significantly by both

forms of Energy Healing, namely,

DAMM Therapy and PEMFE Ther-

apy. He is progressing well and

was also helped by a considera-

ble reduction in the drugs he was

taking prior to starting these ther-

apies.

A RAY OF HOPE FOR ALZHIEMER’S DISEASE

We believe that

our new research

initiative, DAMM

Therapy may offer

a permanent cure

for Sjogren’s Syn-

drome, charecterised by dry eyes, dry tongue and

urethritis. Over centuries, several attempts to cure

this disorder, have been frustrating.

In a recent case, an 81 year old lady, with a 12

year history of these symptoms, who had consult-

ed specialists in various parts of the world, without

relief, was ‘cured’ with a single sitting of DAMM

Therapy, with production of both tears and saliva

as well as free urination. This was sustained by ad-

ditional therapies. More studies on this are under-

way.

With DAMM therapy, dramatic improvements are

being observed in patients suffering from cirrhosis

of the liver and relapsing pancreatitis. Presently

we are working on cracking the code of the liver

and pancreas which may lead us to a successful

solution to Diabetes Mellitus, both Type 2 and

Type 1.

Plans are afoot for a dedicated unit for free treat-

ment of hepatic, pancreatic and digestive diseases.

Funding for this is priority on our agenda.

A Free Medical Camp was con-

ducted at Ranipet ( Industrial

Area of North Arcot Dist. Tamil

Nadu) 26th January 2013, by TAG

-VHS DRC, in memory of Rtn. Late

Arun K. RAM CHANDAR in con-

junction with Vedha Bhavan Trust,

Ranipet.

Doctors, Nurses and medical sup-

port staff of TAG-VHS DRC were

on their toes all-day helping the

324 patients who had registered

for the camp.

The highlight of the Camp

was the free therapy deliv-

ered by Mr. Rajan Iyer.

Patients who were barely

able to totter in, even with

support, walked out pain-

lessly after therapy, marveling at

the magic of Metaphysical Energy

This number does not include

free-camp mentioned above. If

that were included the number

exceeds 1000 cases. Lifetime free

services continue to be provided

Testimonials—The mark of a satisfied patient, a job well done…

Case I

Readers may recall the case of a

73-year old lady who had suffered

brain hemorrhage, intra-

ventricular hemorrhage and sub-

arachnoid hemorrhage (Taglines

Vol.2). She is since able to walk

by holding on to the wall and

with support from an attendant.

Her mental, emotional, higher

functions are normal. She is able

to write and assists in the kitchen

in simple jobs.

Case II

Mr. A was admitted on

14/06/2012 with the complaint of

rigidity (stiffness) of total body

with complete restriction

(freezing) without Dopamine Ag-

onists. Speech - slowing & slur-

ring (but good memory). He was

unable to walk without anti park-

inson's drugs and leaned forward

while walking; Tremors in the

hands, shaking of head off and on

and extra pyramidal facial move-

ments. He was taking several

drugs for the problems and the

duration of the ‘on’ was for a very

short period in the mornings.

He was started on Pulsed Electro

Magnetic Field Energy Therapy by

using BM Pulser over the appro-

priate areas of the head, neck and

limbs. Physiotherapy was started

simultaneously.

At the time of discharge, there

was significant improvement, in

that, rigidity of the limbs was

markedly less, tremors greatly

reduced (especially shaking of

the head). Extra pyramidal facial

movements were also reduced.

Speech had improved and there

was no slurring. He was able to

hold his head and trunk straight

while sitting, standing & walking

and swing his arms while walk-

ing.

According to his younger brother,

who was the constant attendant,

Mr. A's 'on' - 'off' phenomenon

shows a change for the better,

namely the duration of the 'on' is

becoming more and the quality of

the 'on' is also exhibiting marked

improvement. He reports im-

provement in his condition in the

evenings, even when the effect

of the medicines is wearing off,

which is a very positive gain of

the BM Pulser therapy. He had

not experienced this positive im-

provement up till now in the past

Amongst our newer initiatives, we

are doing a collaborative study

with Dr. Chris Reynolds, Queens-

land, Australia on effectiveness of

Wheatgrass Spray in the treat-

ment of diabetic foot ulcers. The

efficacy of the spray has been

proved even in our pilot case

(Pictures below).

The spray harnesses the “anti-

inflammatory, wound healing

and malodour-reducing proper-

ties” of chlorophyllin, a deriva-

tive of chlorophyll.

The spray is revolu-

even in leprosy ulcers, avers Dr.

The second Annual Day celebra-

tions of TAG-VHS DRC is to be

held on 17th March, 2013 at the

TAG Center, Chennai. The cele-

brations will witness lectures by

Prof. B.M. Hegde, Dr. C.V. Krish-

naswami and a special lecture on

Ayurveda by Dr. P.L.T. Girija (Chief

Consultant, Sanjeevi Clinic, Chen-

nai). These along with presenta-

tions on current research at the

TAG-VHS DRC by Dr. Deepa

Krishnaswami as well as research

agenda by Dr. Ramesh Chandra-

sekaran are targeted towards the

medical fraternity . Mr. Rajan Iyer

will demonstrate the DAMM ther-

apy. Padmashri Awardee Sri D.R.

Karthikeyan (Fmr. Director, CBI),

guest of honour, will release a

book—”Prophetic Thoughts and

Articles on Health & Disease and

Mind & Body (Volume I)” by Prof.
