WELCOME BACK (3rd SEMESTER)Easter has come and gone,

and so has the Liberation Day andLabour Day holidays. We’re gladto see our children back at schoolagain. There will be no moreholidays until summer break.

For the summer holidays, wehave whipped up a fun-filledSummer Programme for our children. It will be play-and-learn

time as participants have funlearning at school.

TAIK has also started our special e-kids programme - anEnglish Language course for children between 3 to 5 years old.Do check it out at our SchoolOffice.

We warmly welcome Bin toTAIK - I am confident you’ll have agood learning experience with us.

Many parents would have seenyour children’s faces on banners inBinh Tan. We hope you like it. Thisis part of our marketing for our second kindergarten, the Alpha-SYC, which will open on 8 June2009. You are warmly invited tojoin us for our opening ceremony.An invitation will be extended toyou shortly.

Our own TAIK marketing willalso start soon, featuring our students as stars again. Once theTan Phu police has approved thebanners, you will be seeing your children’s faces around Tan Phu.

TAIK Star AwardsTAIK believes in rewarding our children

for the effort they put in. This will create intheir little minds the value of hard work,which is in line with our motto : Ad Astra,Per Aspera (To the stars, through difficulty).

Using a reward plan is a proven,extremely useful and enjoyable way to helpa child improve his/her behaviour and togive both the child and ourselves, some levelof control over the process. Mostimportantly it is a way to help a child learnpositive patterns of behavior and movetoward better behaviour that feel good.

We recognize our children throughSTAR Awards and daily rewards, especiallyduring our daily English lessons. Thisencourages our kids to put in more effort tolearn English. With our emphasis on singingas an effective learning tool, this strategy is

paying off as we take pride in our children’simprovement in the English Language.

Our daily rewards include stickers,pencils, rulers and notebooks.
