We took a big breath, called Grand Circle and made our reservations. Taj & Judy Hanna, our Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) travel buddies had proposed the trip to Egypt. "No! I'm not going to such an unstable place," said Richard. He actually refused twice. Months later, he said, "If I'm going to put my life on the line, I'm going to the Holy Land - I've al-ways wanted to go there - and we might as well go to Jordan, too." I was thrilled! Somehow I thought the tour agency would pull the trip if anything really terrible was about to happen. I was only part right.

There was an incident in Egypt after we came home, but our trip was incident free. We were there five days and had a won-derful time. We are so grateful we went to the Land of Milk and Honey.
