Addressable Multiplexed Loop (AML) technology can be key toexpanding your business. In large commercial or residentialapplications with numerous protection points, it can greatly reduceyour installation time, saving you money. For example, run a singletwo-conductor wire around the perimeter of the installation andconnect door/window contacts, glassbreak detectors or motiondetectors where needed. No more long wire runs back to the maincontrol panel or expander module for each zone. And each detector isassigned a specific zone number for individual point identification,making service a snap. If future expansion is required, it’s as simple astapping off the existing AML loop.

The AML uses a simple two-wire cable for both power and data, andany addressable detector can be connected anywhere. Burglary andfire detection devices can be combined on the same wire run withthe use of the AML-770 isolator module.

All detectors are engineered to require extremely low-current (someas low as 0.8 mA each). In the case of extremely long wire runs, or ifa large number of detectors are required, the AMX-400repeater/isolator is perfect for expanding the system to whatever sizeis required.
