nUST SAddle clUbThe first-ever university based riding club, NUST Saddle Club, was inaugurated at NUST in 2018. The club welcomes all students, providing training and competitions for experienced riders, tuition for beginners and everything in between.
clUbS & SocIeTIeSBesides academic excellence, Nustians display dynamic literary, creative and artistic abilities and aptitude for co-curricular activities. More than 40 clubs and societies are active on campus, covering a wide variety of interests.
SpoRTS & RecReATIonAl AcTIvITIeSAt NUST you will find a huge variety of sports, well-being programmes and facilities to suit everyone. Sports infrastructure includes athletic tracks; cricket, hockey and football grounds; swimming pools; gymnasium; squash, volleyball, tennis and basketball courts; indoor sports halls; hiking track and many more.

on-cAmpUS AccommodATIonMake yourself at home at our on-campus hostels for outstation students. There are separate blocks for boys and girls, and each residence has an excellent network of support staff. Hostels offer fully furnished bedrooms with internet connection, and are located within walking distance of schools and cafeterias. We make sure you settle in well and enjoy living at NUST.
cAfeTeRIAS And ShoppIng complexStudents can refuel between classes or relax after their hectic day in several cafes spread across the campus, with 3 new student-run cafes inaugurated in 2017. Basic grocery essentials are also available.
heAlTh And well beIngThe University Medical Center is an on-campus health service, which provides comprehensive health care to all students and staff in a friendly and comfortable environment. The medical staff is trained and equipped to handle routine and emergency situations.
cAmpUS SAfeTyTo help maintain a safe campus environment, NUST has highly trained security personnel, who are on guard round the clock. The university also has traffic monitoring and a range of transportation options, including shuttles to facilitate on-campus commute.

Civic Engagement & Community Service is not only practised as a voluntary activity by NUST student but also forms an integral part of the curriculum; a 2 credit-hour course on Communitry Service Learning and community service based internships are mandatory for all undergraduate students.
The university is an active member of The Talloires Network, which works towards civic engagement in member universities. In 2015, in recognition of its world class community engagement and mobilisation efforts, NUST was awarded the prestigious MacJannet Prize by the International Talloires Network from amongst 300 participating institutions.
Pakistan Chapter of The Talloires Network has also been launched at NUST with around 70 Pakistani universities on board.

The university boasts modern laboratories and research facilities with state-of-the-art equipment, where the major focus is on high-quality and goal-oriented research. R&D at NUST is focused on domains significant for national development, as well as cutting edge technology of the future.
Pakistan’s 1st ever academia-based National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) is being developed at NUST. The park aims at building the nation on lines of sustainable socioeconomic development that ensures knowledge creation at par with global practices for developing human, social, and organisational capital. NSTP is a practical manifestation of the Quadruple Helix Model of university-industry-academia-Government collaboration .
NUST houses the first university-based technology incubator of Pakistan. NUST Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) provides a nurturing environment for entrepreneurial ventures to prosper and become viable contributors to the economy. This also brings academia and industry closer by providing students and faculty a platform to commercialise their research.
