    Online information, advice and support in the JACs Bottom up: youth workers felt the need to respond to changing

    context and changing needs of youngsters

    Youngsters started using new media to contact the workers

    JACs provide e-mail services since 2000

    First experiments with MSN messenger in 2003 Victim Support Chat (Slachtofferchat) in 2004

    JAC Online Network in 2005

    In the same period 3 major help lines started using chat Tele-Onthaal chat service in 2002

    Children and Youth Phone (KJT) in 2005

    Centre for suicide prevention (CPZ) 2005

    Main goal: make services more attractive and moreaccessible to youngsters by using chat and e-mail
