MRS. SWEET: READING

Hello, Fabulous 6th Grade Readers,

Welcome to 6th grade! AAE is a great place to learn. I should know because I have been a reading teacher at the school for 11 years. This year will be full of hard work, lots of learning, and hopefully a good amount of normal. In grade 6 we read a wide array of literature. Most times you will have the opportunity to choose the book you read that aligns with our unit of study. It is expected that you will also read at home and in your downtime at school. An independent reading book is a m ust .You will have a choice book with you all the time. If you are unable to visit your local library and you don?t have any books at home you want to read, you can visit our school library in September. Our librarian, known as the loud librarian, is the best. I can?t wait to meet all of you in the fall! Enjoy the rest of the summer.

Here are 10 facts about me.
