TALGO 250 "AFROSIYOB“: FIRST HIGH SPEED TRAIN IN

CENTRAL ASIA

•Pioneer project - First high-speed train in Central Asia.

•The trains cover the line Tashkent-Samarkand (345 km).

•Important reduction of travel time - 2 hours 30 minutes vs more than 3 hours with

conventional trains

•July 2011 - Tests in Uzbekistan- high speed record in Central Asia (255 km / h).

•October 2011 – Starts commercial service between Tashkent & Samarkand.

KAZAJSTAN : TALGO TECHNOLOGY REDUCES JOURNEY TIME IN 9

HOURS WITHOUT ANY INVESTMENTS ON INFRASTRUCTURE.

•December 2001 A Talgo 6-car modernized train is delivered to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.

• January 2003 two Talgo 20 car trains were delivered to Kazakhstan starting commercial

services between Astana and Almaty.

•July 2010 A Joint Venture named Tulpar Talgo is formed between KTZ and Talgo for the

local manufacturing of passenger cars in the Republic of Kazkhstan.

•November 2010 First order of 420 Talgo passenger coaches to the Tulpar Talgo Joint

Venture is placed by KTZ

•December 2011 Tulpar Talgo new manufacturing plant opening in Astana.

TALGO RECENT PROJECTS

• 2011 - Talgo and Russian Railways (RZD) sign contract for the supply of last generation

passenger trains. Contract include design, manufacture and approval of:

3 trains - route Moscow - Berlin with variable gauge system Talgo RD.

4 trains to cover the route Moscow - Kiev.

• First Spanish export project of a variable gauge train

• Talgo intends to set up a base in Russia to carry out maintenance services in collaboration

with RZD.

TALGO RECENT PROJECTS

• 2006 - Railways of Bosnia & Herzegovina (ZFBIH) signed a contract with Talgo for

the supply of 9 compositions Talgo S- 7 passenger coaches + maintenance equipment

• 2010 - Delivery of the first train and beginning of the tests.

• The objective of the contract is to improve the connection of the main cities of the

Balkans (Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Mostar and Ploce).

More than 40 years contributing to the development of the

U.S. rail system

1995 April-with the reopen of the traffic between the city´s of Seattle (Washington) - Vancouver (British Columbia,

Canada) began the service of the Talgo Pendular 200 which was on a daily trip between Seattle-Vancouver-

Seattle (the "Cascades Corridor") .

April 1996 - Resumption of Service Seattle - Portland - Seattle, keeping the service Seattle - Vancouver - Seattle.

July 1996 - Signing of Contracts for the purchase of two trains TP 200 by the Department of Transportation,

Washington State and another train by Amtrak.

October 1997 - With the arrival in Seattle (WA) of the first structures of couches shipped from Spain, the United

States started the manufacturing activities in the Talgo Pendular couches.

Since 1998 – an Offices and a maintenance base in Seattle. In addition, Talgo has a Representative Office in

Washington DC

Diciembre 1998 - Delivery to WSDOT and Amtrak two trains TP200 February 2

July 2009 - Sale of tree Talgo compositions (new series 8 coches): one for the State of Oregon (linking Eugene

and Vancouver) and two for the "Midwest Corridor" (between Milwaukee and Chicago).

November 2010 - Opening of the Talgo plant in Wisconsin.

• 2009 - Sale of two Talgo compositions (new series 8 COACHES ): one for the

State of Oregon (Eugene linking and Vancouver) and two for the "Midwest

Corridor" (between Milwaukee and Chicago).

• 2010 - Opening of the Talgo WORKSHOP in Wisconsin.

• 2011 - 2012 – Delivery of the compositions

•October 2011 - Spanish consortium wins the largest rail contract awarded of the

moment, called "TRAIN OF PILGRIMS.

•Spanish Consortium is integred by Talgo and other 12 companies.

•The project is based on Talgo technology and consolidates the company as a world leader in

the exportation of High Speed Spanish model.

•The Haramain High Speed Railway will be a high-speed line of 450 miles, linking the cities of

Medina and Mecca.

• It is estimated the trains will have an average occupancy of 166,000 passengers per day.
