Special thanks to Mrs Skinner and our band tutors for their great work with the kids. Thanks so much all who purchased a Bandanna last Friday. Through our community's generosity we have raised $611 to support children and youth with cancer. Special thanks to Ms Tovara and Mrs Sullivan for organising this for our school; it was a very busy Friday morning for the ladies in the office. Special thanks to Mr Deere and all of the amazing volunteers for your work on the Bunnings BBQ last Saturday. It was a beautiful day, which made for a very busy BBQ. I am sure we have raised lots of funds for the children. Year 2 began their two week Intensive Swimming program today. Thanks to all families for being so organised with everything the kids need. Year 5 head off for their first Linkages visit to Toronto High School tomorrow. The linkages day allows the kids to participate in high school lessons over four periods in the day. It is important to build confidence in the kids before the huge transition to high school. We wish Annabel M the best of luck as she heads off to compete at State Athletics this Wednesday. Go well, Annabel! It is one of my favourite times of year in Term 4 as we welcome our Kinder students for the first of their Orientation days. Well done to all of our Buddies for the beautiful letters they sent to the new Kinders prior to this first visit. Thanks to our great teachers for organising the Orientation program and also for getting the buddies ready. Our 2019 Kinders will have their first visit this Friday, 2nd November. A reminder we are opening up the sale of the commemorative pavers again. Many new families, especially the Kinders, have expressed their wish to be able to have their child / children or families names on our dedication wall. This is a great way to have your memory as part of the Coal Point family up forever. The pavers cost $50 each. If you would like to take up this opportunity please download a form from our Skoolbag App under P & C - Commemorative Pavers or pick one up from the office. We will close this offer Friday, 16th November. As a result of our Stage 3 Mini-Fete held last term, we were able to donate $410 to the Buy-a-Bale fundraiser last week to help with the purchase of hay and water for the farmers. Thank you to our generous community for supporting this very worthy cause. Kind regards, Kim Creswell - Principal Bee happy!! Exciting news! Dear Parents and Caregivers, Congratulations to all of our Band members for receiving a 'Commended' Certificate at Bandfest last Wednesday.
