Day 1 Wednesday 29 th April Northern Rivers-Tamborine D After our home pick-ups this morning, we excitedly make our way to the picturesque Tamborine Mountain, arriving late morning. You’ll have ample time to browse the shops along the Gallery Walk and purchase lunch before you meet the coach to travel the short distance to Witches Chase Cheesery to taste some of their amazing cheeses made from milk from the Scenic Rim Robotic Dairy. Later we book into our accommodation for the next two nights. Our dinner tonight is at the legendary St Bernards Hotel located right next door to our motel. ACC: Mt Tamborine Motel PH: 07 5545 0088 Day 2 Thursday 30 th April Tamborine BLD Our first stop today is the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, a treetop walk including steel bridges reaching up to 30m above the rainforest. The walk takes approximately 45 minutes at a leisurely pace, when pausing to view the many points of interest and information along the way and the breathtaking view of the creek and rainforest below. For those worried about heights, there is an option of doing it ‘backwards’, starting on the ground and coming around to the creek lookout, trying to spot the local platypus. Next go on a glow worm tour, as we are guided through the purpose-built cave, filled with thousands of glowing glow worms at Cedar Creek Estate. Then enjoy a delicious lunch in their restaurant with beautiful views over the mountains. This afternoon, we visit the stunning Tamborine Botanic Garden which has been described as “The Jewel in the Crown of the Scenic Rim”. Tonight’s dinner is Roast Night at St Bernards. Day 3 Friday 1 st May Tamborine-Northern Rivers BL This morning, we pack our bags, load the coach and travel through Beaudesert to Boonah for our morning cuppa. Then on through Warwick and Stanthorpe to our lunch stop at Tenterfield. Being Autumn, we should be delighted with streets and gardens full of hundreds of Autumn trees, looking magnificent in hues ranging from gold to scarlet with the fallen leaves forming magical carpets. After time for photos, we make our way down the range to our home destinations.
