Hillsborough River Interlocal Technical Advisory Council Meeting Summary
I. Call to Order Vice Chair Doughty called the meeting to order at 1:33. II. Roll Call Members of the TAC were sufficient to establish a quorum. III. Pledge of Allegiance Vice Chair Doughty led in the Pledge of Allegiance. IV. Moment of Contemplation Vice Chair Doughty led in the Moment of Contemplation. V. Public Comment Vice Chair Doughty opened public comment. There was none. VI. Approval of Previous Meeting Summary, June 21, 2016 Motioned by Stu Marvin and seconded by Christina Bryant, the TAC approved the summary unanimously. VII. NPDES Enforcement, Heather Maggio, City of Tampa Ms. Maggio gave an extensive and informative presentation on the Tampa’s NPDES enforcement program. Issues detailed included storm water permits, Tampa’s MS4, and the Clean Water Act. Mrs. Maggio said illicit discharges are monitored and inspected and can be reported by contacting the site violations hotline at 813 274-3101. VIII. Port Tampa Bay Permit Consistency Determination:
a. Temporary Bypass Pipe, City of Tampa Motioned by Stu Marvin and seconded by Cindy Zhang-Torres, the permit was unanimously recommended to be found consistent with the River Master Plan.

IX. 30-Year Anniversary Boat Tour Planning Mr. College gave an update on the status of the planning of the Boat Tour and the TAC discussed and added individuals to the list to be invited to the event. Mr. College reported that e-invites will go out at the end of August. In addition, Mr. College mentioned that the TAC recommended nominee for the Stewardship Award, Lee Hoffman, is on the River Board agenda for approval at their meeting on August 22, 2016. X. Hillsborough River Data Hillsborough River flows and levels were discussed by the TAC, which are robust at this time due to recent rainfall. XI. Other Business There was no other business and the meeting was adjourned.

When: Friday, October 14th, Meet 1:30. Boat departs 2:00. Arrive 4:00. Shuttle returns participants to cars by 4:30. (DATE CONFIRMED)
Where: Start at Lowery Park, and end at the Convention Center or Curtis Hixon Park
Boats: Friends of the River will provide 4 or more private boats
Participants: Elected officials, media, TBRPC ED. Max 60 persons.
Speakers: 1 per boat. Written script and agenda provided. Rehearsal boat trip to be planned.
Details: Friends of the River will provide a van to drive participants back to Lowery Park
