Dorset Seafood Festival• The Dorset Seafood Festival is a beacon event in Dorset’s social

calendar, attracting 40,000 visitors annually. Taking place on Weymouth’s historic harbour the event is a vibrant celebration of the sea and all its bounty.

• Tandem Marketing is acting PR Consultant for the festival, delivering national and regional media coverage.

• Tandem Marketing is also responsible for securing the celebrity chef line-up for the Dorset Seafood Festival including; Mark Hix, Mat Follas, John Wright and Giles Thompson.

• Developing young chef talent is an area of real interest to Tandem Marketing and we organise the Dorset Young Seafood Festival Masterchef competition where we motivate and inspire local young talent to pitch for the title.

• Social Media is a popular marketing tool for foodies and Tandem Marketing is responsible for creating, managing and executing the Dorset Seafood Festival Twitter campaign, attracting nearly 700 followers in 4 months.

• Tandem Marketing is the producer of the Dorset Seafood Festival 2009 & 2010 videos.

Icarus Yacht Charter• Icarus Yacht Charter provides luxury yacht charter in the Ionian Sea.

The fleet includes a beautiful Jeanneau 54DS yacht which sleeps passengers in 4 double en suite, air conditioned cabins.

• Tandem Marketing acts as the PR agency for Icarus Yacht Charter, responsible for securing national press coverage within selected and relevant press.

• We are also responsible for the Icarus Social Media Marketing strategy including Twitter and Facebook.

The Phoenix Bakery• The Phoenix Bakery is an artisan open-bakery in Weymouth.

The business is the brainchild of Master Baker Aidan Chapman who bakes hand-made organic breads, pastries, cakes and savouries daily. The Phoenix Bakery School and Apprentice Days offer those who want to improve their bread making skills the chance to do so.

• Tandem Marketing acts as the PR agency for The Phoenix Bakery and is responsible for securing national and local press coverage.

• Tandem Marketing has also designed shop front signage and produced a Phoenix Bakery podcast.

• Social Media Marketing is popular with the foodie community and Tandem Marketing was responsible for the The Phoenix Bakery Social Media Marketing strategy.

B+B Weymouth• B+B Weymouth is a 4 star boutique hotel style bed & breakfast

located on the seafront in Weymouth. It is contemporary in design and offers up-market accommodation at affordable prices.

• Tandem Marketing is the sales and marketing agency for B+B Weymouth creating campaigns that drive corporate and leisure bookings.

• We develop destination packages which include:

- demonstrations by celebrity chefs

- trips with local activity providers

- meals at local restaurants

- well-being days with nutritional experts

- corporate away days with training services

Local RestaurantsTandem Marketing works with a number of local restaurants to promote the high standard of cuisine available in the county of Dorset.

We create PR campaigns in local and national press, organise special events, engineer radio promotions and develop Social Media Marketing strategies.

• Tandem Marketing developed a PR campaign to promote the 20th Anniversary of Mallams restaurant, including:

- Wessex FM radio promotion to win a dinner party at home cooked by Mallams’ owner, Steve Gosson.

- Dorset Magazine reader event featuring local Dorset food producers Aidan Chapman from The Phoenix Bakery, Andy Foot from Genesis Farmers and Chococo chocolates.

• Tandem Marketing has developed the restaurant’s Social Media Marketing strategy.

The Olive Tree, bridport

• Tandem Marketing is acting PR agency for The Olive Tree promoting the restaurant’s annual crab and lobster festival.

• Tandem Marketing has developed the restaurant’s Social Media Marketing strategy.

Team DorsetThe 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity to boost improvement and change. Team Dorset is an organisation charged with ensuring that there is a lasting legacy for the county of Dorset as a result of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Tandem Marketing, in conjunction with Revolting Art + Design created a series of 12 podcasts which captured interviews with key individuals from the community about the 2012 Games.

These podcasts were made available through i-Tunes and the Team Dorset website and featured representatives from Weymouth College, Sunseeker International, Eldridge Pope, Dorset Volunteer Services and Queen Elizabeth School, Wimbourne.

Creativity Works: Dorset• Creativity Works: Dorset was a FREE creative seminar organised for

creative and non-creative companies in Dorset to better understand the commercial importance of creative excellence. Tandem Marketing, Revolting Art + Design and Creative Dorset worked in collaboration to deliver this event.

• Tandem Marketing was responsible for developing and executing the PR campaign for Creativity Works: Dorset, securing coverage in regional press and radio.

• Securing and coordinating high profile industry speakers from the industry for the event was also part of our remit. We successfully attracted the former Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi and Roz Houchin from Pulse Films in London, TV ad production company for T-Mobile and Nike.

• Social Media Marketing was an important strand to the marketing campaign and effective in attracting delegates from outside the immediate area. Tandem Marketing was responsible for developing and implementing the Social Media Marketing strategies for the event.

International BaccalaureateThe International Baccalaureate offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools. There are more than 833,000 IB students at 2,987 schools in 139 countries.

After winning a three agency pitch against European agencies Tandem Marketing, in conjunction with Revolting Art + Design, created the International

Baccalaureate employer branding campaign to position the foundation as the preferred employer within the field of international education.

Tandem Marketing also works with the International Baccalaureate to develop taglines and creative copy for its online shop and recruitment pages.
