Van's Aircraft RV14/14a

The RV-14 is the newest airplanefrom Vans Aircraft, Inc. It continues and improves on thelegacy of the most successfulside-by-side two-seat kit aircraft in history. A 210 hp Lycoming IO-390 livesunder the graceful cowl andsupplies plenty of power. The RV-14 is a sport touringairplane that handles basicaerobatic manoeuvres easily andgracefully. The upright seating position and large bubble canopy providesuperb visibility in all directions. The wide cabin and largeinstrument panel give theoccupants lots of room and lots ofinformation. The large cabin is truly roomy witha tipforward canopy that allows itto open wide for entry and loadingbaggage. The relatively long wing uses theproprietary airfoil thats proved sosuccessful on the RV-10. The wing is constant-chord andconstant thickness, making itcompletely predictable in flight. Big slotted flaps keep landingspeeds low. The RV-14 cabin accommodates full-sized adults in fact, thebasic idea was to provide RV-10room and comfort in a two-seatairplane.
