2017 Term 4 Week 2
Principal’s Message:
Term 4 is moving quickly and it is an extremely busy time
of the school year, it is hard to believe we are two weeks
in to the term already. Term 4 as always will be a busy
term but we also have a lot of fun activities leading up to
the end of year including presentation day, Kinder and
Year 7 transition and Year 6 graduation activities.
Kindergarten Enrolments 2018 - Just a reminder, that
we are currently accepting kindergarten enrolments for
2018. If you have a school-aged child who will start
kindergarten next year please make contact with the
office. Please also encourage anyone not associated with
the school with a child starting school next year to make
contact with the school if they have not already done so.
Tanilba Bay PS 2018 Next year we are again
anticipating 600 students in 23 classes. We are currently
allocating students and teachers to classes for 2018.
However, with a number of new enrolments this term
and some students moving away it can be difficult to
organise classes with any certainty. We hope to have
accurate figures for day one next year so we will have a
smooth start. Please let us know ASAP if your child will
be leaving TBPS and not returning in 2018. Please contact
the office or inform your child’s class teacher as soon as
possible. If you know of anyone who intends to enrol
their children at TBPS next year encourage them to
contact us before the end of the school year.
Snake Activity - Recently a snake was sighted near the
school grounds so it is important to remind everyone of
the dangers of snakes and to keep well away from them.
As the weather is heating up, snakes will be on the move
in the area. Although there have not been any sightings in
the school we will still be discussing snake safety with our
students. Please also discuss the importance of staying
away from snakes with your children and warn them to
keep a sharp lookout for snakes when travelling near
bushland areas.
Have a great weekend. Stuart Wylie – Principal

SWIMMING SCHEME REMINDER
Students who have not reached a satisfactory standard
