On Dec 5, we sent our first pack-
age of Project Child sponsor let-
ters via Express Mail to Arusha,
Tanzania, since we were not go-
ing to be sending another team to
Karansi until mid-year 2013. Our
hopes were that the package
would arrive safely and in a time-ly manner so that our Project
Child children would receive
Christmas notes and letters before
Dec 25. It was our first test of
using Mail delivery rather than
hand delivery by one of our
Teams. We were able to track the
package through Miami and on its
way to somewhere in Tanzania by
Dec 10 as that is when it cleared
Tanzanian customs. Whew It
looked like this process was going
to work.
The bad news was that by January
26th the letters had still not made
it to the local Arusha Post
Office. The good news, is
that within a few more days
they were finally located,
sitting for pickup in different
post office and are now in
the hands of our Imara part-
ner.
In a land of no addresses or
mail delivery it was a bit of a
wild hope to begin with but
the mailing actually gave us agood hope for the future, and
an educational experience on
how to find a package mailed
to a Tanzania Post Office
Box sent via DHL or Ex-
press Mail.
We are going to exercise this
process again this Spring
with a due date for the next
batch of letters being
March 15.

Two weeks ago Punchmi Christian School in Karansi, Tanzania began a new school year. While
our 7th grade graduates from last Fall all headed off to new Secondary Schools (a topic for next
months TZJournal) a new group of Kindergarten students began their journey to receive an educa-
tion. While a few moved up from our Pre-School, most were new to Punchmi and to our sponsor-
ship program. When I look at our new photos of the children, it excites me to think about how
much their lives are going to be different, because of the opportunity that we will afford them
through Project Child. Rather than keep all of these beautiful faces to myself, I am publishing
some Kindergarten photos so that you can enjoy them too and maybe help me find sponsors.

New Kindergarten Kids (Continued from pg1)
The next Team to visit Project Child in Tan-
zania will be departing Atlanta in late May of
this year and returning about 10 days later in
early June. This team is often known as the
Family team, or Mercy and Justice Team, as
it primarily spends time with the children in
the school and the widows in the community,
just seeking to visit and serve their needs. It
is a perfect opportunity for a family, or moth-er/daughter, or grandmother/grandson to
visit Tanzania and explore the life of a spon-
sored child.
If you think you might be interested, you
need to register at the Perimeter Global Out-
reach Tanzania Web site, which you can find
at http://www.goperimeter.org/journeys/
page/2 Leaders of the team will then contact
you to explore your interest and availability.
