Dear valued stakeholders; this is yet another issue of our Directory, rolling out to meet the expectation of our readers and consumers at large.
It is all about renewable energy. The benefits of the renewables in all their forms in harnessing energy to meet varied needs at different levels of our lives needs and be overstated. In the past issue, the benefits of the renewable energy have been expounded and remain to be a fact that we do not only need to aim at bringing accessible and affordable services to a vast majority who could access the grid power but it goes all the way to improve our lives by joining other countries who are in the
forefront in efforts to create a greener World.
The trend no doubt has seen a greater awareness by the consumer’s on the benefits of renewable energy. The situation in Tanzania is conducive to most forms of renewables, be it Wind, Solar, Thermo and the like.
The directory as it has been from its inception has served as vessel to bring the stakeholders together in terms of information exchange, updates of new innovations, availability of new products and services in the market. The directory is printed and distributed at the aim of providing information to the end users as where he/she can access renewable energy services.
The directory is an avenue to expand markets, expertise and create opportunities for big and medium enterprises to join their efforts to surmount challenges faced in implementing big projects, both local enterprises aiming themselves on the other hand and local and foreign investors on the other can appreciate the advantages of forming ventures to capture projects which require joining of forces to undertake the commitments.
The production of this issue of directory has been made possible by the support of URBIS Foundation for which are highly indebted.
On the foregoing, we call upon new stakeholders to seize the unique opportunity to spread the word on renewable energy and thus capture the market for their products and services.

It was established in 2000 and registered by Ministry of home Affairs on 7th May, 2001 with re on number SA 10900. TAREA promotes the use of sustainable renewable energy technologies through:
Community awareness raising Policy advocacy Renewable energy industry and end user protec Capacity building Research Consultancy services, Member recommedation and Business Matching.
TAREA offers the consultancy service on the process of the development of renewable energy systems like Solar Photovoltaic System. The service offered covers planning and design of the system, system specific , tender document technical data assessment, and inst quality and specificverific ons. This consultancy service helps developers without renewable energy capacity to develop quality systems and avoid the counterfeit and substandard equipment parts.
