Perl Beer FaUCeTSThe stainless steel Perl faucet is unique in both appearance and function. It's revolutionary Perl ball and floating O-ring design eliminates the need for a valve shaft. Internal parts are not exposed to air so the handle lever doesn't stick and there is no build up of mold and bacteria in the faucet body. All Perl faucets include a stainless steel handle for strength and sanitation.

Pushing the Perl handle back moves a stainless steel piston, exposing small holes. The turbu-lence created by beer passing through the holes produces a creamy head. When the handle is released, an internal compression spring moves the piston back, stopping the beer flow.

Air-cooled beer system efficiency depends on temperature. It is impor-tant to use the cooler for beer storage only so that a consistent tem-perature between 34° and 38° F. can be main-tained. The maximum recommended length is 25 feet requiring 1,000 BTU/hr. of additional refrigeration capacity.

Air shafts are available from Perlick in 12 foot lengths, 51⁄2" O.D., insulated at the factory and consist of a tube within a tube. They can be easily installed in the field using the below listed parts. For systems that are six feet or less, see "Thru-the-Wall Air Shafts" listed below. For dispensing heads and drainers, see pages. 20 and 21.
