DANIEL HESSI lived in Birmingham until moving to college (1995 to 2013). I am studying chemical engineering at Auburn and plan to serve in the Navy after college. I have two brothers, Thomas and Jonathan, and my parents, Mark and Margaret.

TARA BIESIADECKII’m Tara Biesiadecki, and I’m a student at Auburn. I’m originally from Alpharetta, Ga. I’m a senior in Special Education and I will be graduating in December.

ELIZABETH CUMMINGSI am a sophomore in Pre-Communication Disorders. I grew up in Huntsville, AL, with my wonderful parents and three brothers. I am a member of Christ Presbyterian Church back at home and am so excited to become an affiliate member of First Pres.

JOHN HARRIS BRITTONMy name is John Harris Britton, and I am 20 years old. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, I have been visiting Auburn and Opelika my entire life. I am a junior at Auburn University studying Accounting. My love of sports and Auburn football led me to Kanakuk Kamps the past two Summers as a counselor. When I am not studying, I enjoy being active and outside, or just chilling with my friends. I am very excited to join this body, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store!

LEILAWIL JOHNSONThe old Opelika Hospital was on the corner of 9th Street and 3rd Avenue behind the present day Presbyterian Church. My two sisters and I were born there. Our parents were Jane Norton Smith T and F.B. Smith T, Jr. We were raised on 9th Street and attended Opelika schools. I graduated from Opelika High School and Auburn University, choosing teaching as a career which I did for 27 years in Opelika. I got saved when I was 29 years old. Boalman Hugo Johnson, Jr. is my husband of 46 years. He was Public Works Director until his retirement. Until my husband became ill, we raised and showed German Shepherd Dogs. We both love our Lord Jesus and I am so thrilled to find a church in which one will always hear the gospel and where the Word of God is preeminent.

CHRIS & BETH ROSEChris was born in Kirkland, Washington and grew up on the Olympic Penisula. He came to the south when he joined the army and has remained here since. Beth was born in Eufaula, AL and grew up in Troy, AL. Chris owns and runs two companies, Wiregrass Environmental and Inspection Plus. He is a certified mold inspector, home and commercial inspector and licensed builder with over 16 years in the building industry. Beth previously worked in management and consulting in the health care industry and is currently a realtor and rental manager in Troy, AL. They reside in Troy, AL have two sons, Evan and Hudson, ages 14 and 15 and have a house 25 minutes from Opelika on Lake Martin.

LEIGHELLEN MORRISONI'm LeighEllen Morrison and I am from Montgomery. I am currently a Sophomore at Auburn University and studying to be an Elementary school teacher.

SARAH LOLLEYI am an Auburn graduate and just recently moved back to the Auburn area. I am a professional photographer and also work for Loyal Stricklin here in Opelika. I am excited and grateful to have a home here at First Pres.

ANDREW & WHITNEY LEEAndrew was born and raised in Auburn, and Whitney is a Cajun-born, south Louisiana girl originally from Napoleonville, LA. They have a son, John Henry, and due this December will welcome their second baby boy. Andrew is a communications specialist at Auburn University with Alabama Extension, and Whitney is a homemaker. On the side, Andrew is an artist and industrial/graphic designer, and Whitney’s love for vintage and antique jewelry has cultivated a small side business that keeps her busy. They look forward to making Auburn their home and First Pres. Opelika their home church.
