Target Audience- The target audience for my magazine will be primarily focused towards the demographic of 18+ males interested and involved in hip-hop/rap culture and music, and would be interested in news and articles that revolve around that spectrum. The magazine will feature artists such as Kid Cudi, Childish Gambino, Chance the Rapper, Odd Future and so on, focusing on upcoming releases and staying current to the hiphop scene. Any side focuses of the magazine would be areas that link in with hip-hop culture that would warrant a small feature in the magazine such as fashion elements/headphones/graffiti-street art. House Theme - My theme will be kept very minimalist, mostly whites greys and blacks with colour only sparsely used to highlight certain areas or information. I will be doing this as the last thing I want the magazine to appear is cluttered or hard on the eyes. Target Audience-

The target audience for my magazine will be primarily focused towards the demographic of 18+ males interested and involved in hip-hop/rap culture and music, and would be interested in news and articles that revolve around that spectrum.

House Theme -

My theme will be kept very minimalist, mostly whites greys and blacks with colour only sparsely used to highlight certain areas or information. I will be doing this as the last thing I want the magazine to appear is cluttered or hard on the eyes. In my market research I saw that designs and layouts were often kept simple in ways similar to this and it is something I would like to recreate in my own magazine. I will use fonts and images that have a hip-hop look to them amongst this to still give the magazine the identity of a hip-hop music magazine but I will not overdo this and in doing so make the magazine look cluttered. The inside pages will have white backgrounds as this is easiest to work with when their will be large amounts of text such as articles and contents over the top. The same idea of colour only being used sparsely to bring attention to specific parts of the layout will hold true throughout all the pages. My cover will have a coloured background so as to be seperate from the inside pages and make the cover not look too basic rather than just going for a minimalistic design.

I have chosen the title Flow for my magazine as it is relevant to the subject i.e an artist’s ‘flow’ being used to describe the way they rap and is short and memorable.
