Who Voted in November 2010? Impact of the Equality Alliance Civic Engagement Program The Equality Alliance conducted a five-week Civic Engagement Program (CEP) leading up to the November 2010 election. Focusing on new and occasional voters, especially voters of color, in the Mid-City and Southeast neighborhoods of San Diego, our team of twenty canvassers contacted more than thirteen thousand (13,000) voters over the phone and at the door. Using peer-to-peer engagement (neighbor-to-neighbor outreach) we were able to significantly increase the turnout of these unlikely voters. Prepared by Christopher R. Who Voted in November 2010? Impact of the Equality Alliance Civic Engagement Program

The Equality Alliance conducted a five-week Civic Engagement

Program (CEP) leading up to the November 2010 election.

Focusing on new and occasional voters, especially voters of

color, in the Mid-City and Southeast neighborhoods of San

Diego, our team of twenty canvassers contacted more than

thirteen thousand (13,000) voters over the phone and at the

door. Using peer-to-peer engagement (neighbor-to-neighbor

outreach) we were able to significantly increase the turnout of

these unlikely voters.
