Task 4 - Issues requiring marketing or public relations solutions

Page 2: Task 4 issues requiring marketing or public

Quality• With these posters even though they are two different

clothes shops they still have the same idea when designing a clothes poster. They are to made to the same quality using attractive imagery although H&M have used David Beckham and so would be ore likely to be more appealing since is famous whereas Zara used a model.

• They have both stuck with just including the picture with the name of the shop. Neither have used a lot of colour just stuck with plain colours although the logo for H&M is red and so contrasts with the rest of the poster.

• The clothes that each brand sells represents the quality of the poster that is displayed as Zara is a more expensive make you expect it to be more higher quality which it is and with this you can tell by the imagery used. Whereas with H&M they haven’t really used clothing although this image was for underwear and was using his body to entice people with sexual allure.

Image• The image All Saints have used for their poster is to

show off their nicest looking clothing ranges showing that it is good clothing and looks good. They have a varied selection of people to show they style is fitting for anyone and everyone. It’s a cross between posh and smart and shows it to be in fashion as it is such a big brand.

• As they’re all stood again a plain white background it shows the blacks of each piece of clothing more as it is such a contrast in colour which makes every piece of clothing stand out and then having all saints on the poster but with it just cut out so the background shows through and shows the lettering.

Price• This advert for H&M is strange but has a good idea

behind it and with it catches the eye and attention of the reader, the clothes that are being sold are matching with the room and so the only part of the poster that stands out is the text telling you the price of the items.

• It focuses on showing off the price as it isn't much for clothing as so people would be more inclined to go look at the website for H&M or in store just to see what other good prices they have.

Value• This advert is focusing on the value of the product

showing the price off to the customers trying to get them interested and want to purchase it or at least get them to look at their range of clothing.

• They have used a very bland back ground so that the main parts that stick out is the dress which they trying to sell and the pricing so that it is basic but effective. Also by using a model in the dress that’s more realist that any off the models normally used makes it look better and so would be more likely to attract women to buy it.

Market• This advert was made with a specific audience to market

these products to and that is mothers of young children, offering them what they need to go back to school and for great affordable prices.

• Every advert does it in order to make sure it comes across to the right people and so they know exactly what to include so that they be interested in the advert.

• For it they have used the back ground and the children off all ages in front of it, and the rest of the advert they spent showing you the prices of each item.

Competition• All of Asda’s adverts or campaigns is spent on showing off

they're the best place to buy from no matter what it is, if they sell it they will do whatever it takes to show they fact that they are better than other rivals such as Tesco's or Sainsbury's .

• They are all in competition with each other and if you want all the three adverts after one an0other its very clear as they all try to persuade you that they are the best option you could choose and that the other two are better, although most people tend to have a preferred place to shop and just because an advert said they Asda is cheaper doesn’t necessarily means you would go there over your current place to shop.
