Since its early days based in a 17th century coffee

Global Reach

Tasker & Partners has become an established and

independent firm of Lloyd’s Brokers operating in the

City of London. We serve our clients by helping them to

identify their risk exposures and by proposing ways in

which to transfer their risks to the commercial Insurers

based in the London and International markets.

We focus program design, risk consulting, marketing

and negotiation. We customise placements to meet

the needs of our clients’, providing a quality and

efficient service.

This approach has substantially increased the list of

clients we represent in the marketplace, attracting

further key market professionals to join us, and

allowing us more diversified skills to offer to our clients.

Insurance Broking

Tasker & Partners provide a broking service, accessing

the Lloyd’s and London Markets. Our team will be pleased

international marketplace and Lloyd’s is an important

Business Insurance

Tasker & Partners developed the Meridian policy. It is

the product we issue for the majority of business risks

underwritten in house via our underwriting facilities.

More and more brokers are appreciating the fusion

of traditional approach and latest technology as the

answer for their mid-market commercial risks.

The core product covers all necessary commercial

combined risks but also includes the flexibility to tailor

make a policy for your client. Meridian gives you the

“one stop” solution because we understand that no

two businesses and their risks are the same.

Personal Accident

We arrange personal accident schemes for associations,

charities, affinity groups and sports. Wherever there is

a risk of accidental injury Tasker & Partners can tailor

make a solution.

Scales of benefits can be tailored to the

requirements of the insured and additional benefits

for Physiotherapy, Dental Care and Necessary

Emergency Medical Treatment can be added where

considered appropriate.

Our personal accident schemes for Golf, Football and

Cricket players are all available online allowing us to

process high volumes of low premium business.

Marine & Cargo

The diversity of the London Market enables us to

arrange a complex range of products on both a

reinsurance and direct basis. Cargo and Stock

throughput policies can be placed providing customers

with beneficial cost – through our special insurer

relationships and cover – from our diversity of products.

We can provide a bespoke advisory and placement

service for businesses operating in the Freight

Forwarding industry including haulers, logistics

operators and forwarders.

All our products can be enhanced to include War on

Land risks, a class usually excluded under standard

cargo policies.

Binding Authorities

Tasker & Partners can draw on a vast experience of

product driven and binding authority business in the

Lloyd’s and London Markets.

As the insurance market concentrates on continued

Trade Credit and Surety

The Hoskyn Tasker Partnership Limited is an

appointed representative of Tasker & Partners

which focuses specifically on providing credit risk

management advice and insurance solutions to the

corporate sector.

Extending credit to customers involves significant risk,

however, a business can minimise this risk by insuring

against the default or insolvency of its customers.

Trade credit insurance covers the risk of bad debt

and is an essential tool in credit management as

it can provide a replacement of working capital

when bad debts impact on cash flow or threaten

insolvency itself. We can also offer a variety of

bonds, another often essential instrument.

It is important to distinguish between insurance

and suretyship as a surety bond is not an insurance

policy. A surety bond is a guarantee, in which the

surety guarantees that the contractor, called the

“principal” in the bond, will perform the “obligation”

stated in the bond.

The most common bonds that are available are

contract performance bonds, bid bonds and

payment bonds but there are many variations.

We will identify the risks and place bonds with the

appropriate underwriting partner.

Our insurance approach centres on an in-depth

understanding of a business’ trading risks and

the relevant application of an assortment of risk

management applications. Trade Credit and Surety

remain non-mandatory purchases but in our view

are becoming must have protections. We are happy

to work in unison with brokers to ensure customers

are offered solutions which help them to trade

confidently and safely.

We have built on our success in the Licensed Trade

sector to create products for most aspects of the

Entertainment and Leisure arena. We utilise a panel

of insurers who are market renown in sector many of

whom have given us exclusive arrangements to provide

products to venues, participants, visitors and players.

By the implication of effective risk management and

targeted purchase of insurance protection we can work

with you and the client to ensure the leisure business is

properly protected.

Contingency planning and reimbursement for

cancellation or abandonment of events are additional

Key Personnel

Paul Tasker - Managing Director

Paul has spent 17 years in the Lloyd’s Market. During the 1990’s Paul managed

Non-marine business for two Lloyd’s Brokers before founding Maestro Tasker

Limited (now Tasker & Partners) in 1999. As Managing Director Paul is responsible

for development strategy and product design for Tasker & Partners.

Michael Jensen - Chairman

Michael has spent many years within the Lloyd’s community, commencing at Willis,

Faber & Dumas in the late 1950’s. In 1987 Michael formed his own insurance

broking group Thamesgate Holdings Ltd, that included the specialist freight liability

broker Jensen Dickens.

Barry Reynolds - Director

Barry has spent 19 years in the Lloyd’s Market working as both an underwriter and

broker. Barry joined the company in 2000 and is responsible for our relationships

with risk carriers and the placement of London market risks, binding authorities

and programmes.
