About TasweldTasweld was established in March 1987 to service the Tasmanian market with welding equipment & consumables, and industrial & hospitality gases. Over the last 30 years, we have expanded to become Tasmania’s leading supplier in safety products, personal protective equipment, work clothing and footwear, power tools, abrasives and tapes.

Tasweld Quality StatementTasweld started as an industrial gas and welding supplies distributer over 30 years ago and have now expanded to become Tasmania’s leading supplier in safety products, personal protective equipment, work clothing and footwear, power tools, abrasives and tapes. Tasweld supplies a wide range of Tasmanian businesses and industries from branches in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston. Tasweld employs around 30 knowledgeable and experienced staff to provide high quality service to all customers.

Quality is important to Tasweld because we value our staff and our customers. We strive to provide our customers with quality products and service and a supportive and safe work environment for our staff. Tasweld also places great emphasis on caring for the environment by ensuring our staff and customers follow regulations on storage and transport of dangerous and flammable goods and encouraging the recycling of office consumables, packaging and waste paper products.

We have the following systems and procedures in place to support us in our aim of total customer satisfaction and continuous improvement throughout our business:-1. ongoing training and development for our employees2. regular audit of our internal processes3. regular gathering and monitoring of customer feedback4. a customer complaints procedure5. selection and performance monitoring of suppliers against set criteria6. measurable quality objectives which reflect our business aims7. management reviews of audit results, customer feedback

Gary Dawson — DirectorGary is a qualified accountant and is responsible for the administration of the Company state wide and also works closely with a select select range of customers and suppliers. Gary has worked in the welding and safety business for over forty years.

Ken Adams — DirectorKen has been involved in the Industrial Market in Tasmania for over forty years. Prior to working in the Industrial area he has held sales and marketing roles in several large corporate organisations in both Tasmania and Victoria.

Alan Watt — General ManagerAlan has been involved in Sales, Marketing, Administration, Logistics and Procurement in Tasmania for over thirty years. Alan’s management experience comes through varying roles within both the Aquaculture and the Liquor industries.

Embroidery ServiceAt Tasweld, we have a large capacity, in-house embroidery service with dedicated staff in our Hobart and Launceston branches offering excellent service.

We utilise high speed Barudan embroidery machines (4 head and 8 head), producing quality embroidery with a fast turnaround and competitive rates.
