Word of the Day

ramification Stuff Happens Word of the Day: Like consequence and implication, today's word ramification is most often encountered in the plural, suggesting that things that follow on from an act or decision tend to travel in packs. Ramification also has many uses in scientific terminology, where it means a branch or the act of branching. The underlying verb ramify is from a Latin root that means "branch."
