Based in Nicosia, Taxatelier is a premier boutique tax firm that exclusively practising in the field of Cyprus and international tax. HistoryTaxatelier was founded in December 2014 by joining forces between the directors of KDC Chartered Accountants Limited and Neofytos Neofytou (formerly an EY Senior tax partner). KDC Chartered Accountants Limited was established in 2008, offering top quality audit and tax services to a very high profile clientele. Due to the nature of its clientele it was decided to separate the practices of audit and tax and to appoint Neofytos Neofytou as the new Managing Director of the tax firm. This, will ensure firms independency and specialization.
Neofytos Neofytou is one of the most recognized name and respected persons in the tax society with extensive experience as a Senior tax partner in EY.

Neophytos Neophytou is a Fellow Chartered
Accountant of England and Wales. Between the
years 1984 – 2013 he has been a partner of Ernst &
Young and Head of Tax Services of the Cyprus Firm,
as well as a partner in the International Tax Services
Group of Ernst & Young, a group involved in
multinational operations. He served as President of
the Tax Committee of the Institute of Certified Public
Accountants of Cyprus, of which he has been a
member for about 35 years. He also served as
President of the VAT Committee of the Institute of
Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.
He is currently a tax advisor to the Institute of
Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus advising
members on tax issues. He has also participated on
behalf of the Institute in contacts with the Ministry
of Finance negotiations, the House of
Representatives, the Inland Revenue Department
and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry
on tax legislation issues. For the last six years he is
also acting as a special advisor to the Minister of
Finance on double tax treaties issues and
negotiations and tax advisor to the Cyprus Chamber
of Commerce and industry.
He has extensive experience in international tax
planning, on structuring operations and group
structures for international clients in the oil and gas
industry, the banking and financial industry, the
construction and hotel industry, the manufacturing
and service industries etc. and his clients included
major local and international groups. He is a
frequent speaker on seminars, training courses and
conferences on tax planning, substance and
transparency issues and application of double tax
treaties and exchange of information issues.

Costas Savva is a Fellow Certified Chartered
Accountant and qualified Tax Consultant with 14
years’ experience in private practice including a
managerial position at KPMG. Costas is also a
member of the Institute of Certified Public
Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC).
Costas advises clients on all taxation issues and has
particular expertise in Corporate Tax and VAT.
Costas has advised individual and corporate clients
on business sales and acquisitions, corporate
reorganizations, cross-border mergers and
succession planning including multi-location
projects. He has also advised foreign businesses
setting up operations in Cyprus and has provided
VAT advice to a trading company that operates in
many countries all over the world as well advised
successfully a large group on the IP structuring in
Cyprus.
Costas focuses on meeting client’s tax structuring
needs to manage the overall incidence of taxation
on personal and corporate income and wealth.
Costas also represents clients at negotiations with
the Tax Department, formal tax appeals and
technical interpretation disputes. He has been
engaged with some of the most significant tax issues
in Cyprus and helped the Firm enhance its
reputation, since he has successfully challenged
several tax cases.

Christos Theophilou is a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
(ICAEW), the Institute of Certified Public
Accountants in Cyprus (ICPAC), and an International
Tax Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation
(CIOT). Christos qualified with KPMG (Cyprus) and
holds a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and
the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation of
the CIOT. Christos also holds the transfer pricing
certificate of the CIOT.
Christos is specialized in tax issues with an
international dimension, such as private equity
structuring, cross-border investments and
international trade. Christos has a strong track
record in cross-border investment structures and
structured finance.
Christos has also been at the forefront of
developments in the Cyprus tax market by
launching the first international tax school in
Cyprus for the last 5 years. Christos was recently
elected as the Director of the Polish Cypriot
Chamber of Commerce.

Demis Ioannou is a member of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW)
and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in
Cyprus (ICPAC). Demis qualified with KPMG
(Cyprus), studied in the UK and is a holder of a first
class (BA Hons.) degree in Accounting and Finance.
During his studies he has won a cash prize award
from KPMG (U.K) and a University prize award.
Demis has a wide range of experience in relation to
the Cyprus and international taxation of corporate
entities and individuals. Demis has advised
corporate clients on the energy sector, trading in oil
products, derivatives and on individuals relocating
to Cyprus. His clients included major local and
international groups and high-net-worth
individuals.
Demis has written exclusive publications to clients
regarding Cyprus and international taxation
matters. He has recently been advising a large oil
company regarding treaty benefits provisions and
“re-domiciliation” issues.
