So we have had a slight change of plans everyone. As is sometimes the case when planning a show, we ran into our first snag.

Unfortunately, Sam Bradley is not able to join us in May. At the time that we announced his involvement he was on board. However, he was offered the incredible opportunity to record during what quite possibly is the same time period. He really wanted to be there with us but wasn’t able to pass up the chance to record. And hey, we all want new Sam music.

He was interested in doing something with us possibly at a later date. We will see what we can do to make that happen.

Ruston Kelly Joins Bobby Long

Edgar’s Gift… music for the heart

Edgar’s Gift is a charity set up in 2010 in memory of Ben Edkins, who passed away following a yearlong fight with cancer. He was only 25 years old.

The first year was just about setting it up and raising funds, since then they have fulfilled 132 wishes/gifts with three more currently in the pipeline.

Since we were no lacking one performer, Bobby is still 100% a go. We reached out to fellow Brit Packers Marcus and Lee to check their availability to perform on May 17th. Things simply didn’t pan out to make that happen. We then realized that there is a wonderful pool of amazing talent that has supported the boys over the years and that maybe not everyone has heard them. With that in mind we reached out to Ruston Kelly. An excellent performer we featured last month in our newsletter. He toured with Marcus last year and was the perfect choice for our first private show.

Ruston was all for doing the show. For those who have never seen him you are in for a real treat. He is a

wonderful musician and storyteller. So now our lineup is set with Bobby Long and Ruston Kelly.

The show will be held at the Westgate Resorts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Tickets are $100 and include a buffet, two alcoholic beverages, a poster that you will be able to get signed and goodie bag at the end of the night.

Email us at [email protected] for your ticket purchase link.

The organization aims to raise money to enable them to provide special days out, unique experiences and luxury gifts for young adults aged 18-30 who are suffering from cancer.

One of the projects in the works is a compilation CD of various indie and rock artists that donated songs to help the cause.

Through the release of this album, 29 Rock You Cancer, which features TBP’s very own Sam Bradley, they hope to raise enough money to purchase a mobile home

that could be set up to offer free holidays for patients and their families. A place to get away and have some fun.

They hope that the money generated from CD and online music sales will make the difference they need to have this in place for 2015.

They have already raised £21500 which is just a tad shy of their goal of £38000. Let see what we can do to help this worthy cause.

Bobby has been working to line up new shows and writing new music. In addition, he let us all know on a Twitter status, March 24th that album news would be coming soon. So excited!

On March 21st Bobby performed at Club Passim in Boston. It was an amazing show. One interesting thing about this particular show was that Bobby also streamlined it. People were able to watch online by paying what they could.

Thanks for everyone who

Bobby Long News

Marcus foster continued to lay low for most of the month of March. In fact, he has perfected the art of being ‘off radar’. We saw little of him as he continued to work on new music.

When he did pop up it was due to a new single he did with the fabulous Quinn Archer on a song entitled Rest Of My Days. It is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that was released on March 10th. If you haven’t heard it yet you must rectify that.

Each month the Brit Pack-OB

will be doing either a raffle or

a giveaway.

The money earned in the

things such as private shows,

etc. so your participation is

Please check out the fan account on page 7 for a lovely review of the show.

Another cool project he has lined up is that he wrote a song called IN ASHES for the short film, See Seven States from Rock City. The movie stars Stephanie Jane Markham, Jake Newton & Dane Hanson and features music from Bobby Long. There is not a lot of information on the film just

Bobby does have tour dates coming up that you can check out. First up is in Portland, ME on April 21st and then Albany, NY on April 26th. He will be in Gatlinberg, TN on May 17th for TBP’s private show and then finally in Vienna, VA on June 1st.

You can listen to the song on Soundcloud and it’s also available for download on iTunes.

So until we get new music or an upcoming tour date we will have to play the new single on loop and hope that we get a new release sometime in the near future. I don’t know about you but we are really missing Marcus’ amazing & soulful voice.

Don’t forget that you can buy almost all of Marcus Foster’s music on iTunes or on his website:

Sam continues to remain busy and focused. He has been working diligently to get a new album out for all of us to hear.

As you may recall a few months back we mentioned that Sam would be donating a song to help raise money for Cancer Research for an organization called Edgars Gift (Please see the story on pg 1 for more information).

Sometime in April a two disc, 29 song CD will be released which features many wonderful artists

Lee has kept himself busy with his tour with Paper Aeroplanes which kicked off this month.

The reviews for the tour are just starting to come in for Lee’s shows and it looks like he is winning over the German people. A review in The Pick on Mar 23rd for his Dortmund show had this to say:

“Lee MacDougall is an entertainer, that's for

sure. With his speeches, he draws the audience

This is a wonderful cause that deserves support. Right now there is not an actual link to purchase the CD yet but that should be coming very shortly.

Meanwhile here is the info from their website about the album.

Good luck on the remainder of your tour Lee!

March has been very busy

for Robert and us fans.

LIFE continued filming throughout the month, officially wrapping in Toronto on March 27th according to LIFE extra, Greg Longley.

“And that's a wrap - today is officially the last day of

the 28-day shoot #Life #Toronto. Crew will rejoin #RobertPattinson in LA.”

Filming has now moved to Los Angeles to finish a few more scenes. Some were shot over the weekend at Chateau Marmont and the Pantages Theater.

We were also given some wonderful news by A24 films. They announced a release date for THE ROVER of June 13th in LA and NY and June 20th nationwide. Can’t wait to

Tom has once again been

laying low throughout the

month of March.

Although we did get a few

glimpses of him during

Oscar weekend. He and

his fiancée Sienna Miller

attended the Chanel and

The next night, March 2nd

the lovely duo attended the

We then got some fantastic QUEEN OF THE DESERT news on March 28th when producer Cassian Elwes tweeted the following:

“Saw a rough version of queen of the desert last night. Loved it. Nicole is

sublime. The movie is epic. Pattinson steals his

scenes”

According to Production Weekly the film MISSION BLACKLIST has an April 28th start date. As far as we can tell this is still a go. The movie continues to be listed on the CA Film and Television Tax Credit Program website as an active project. In fact, it lists that it will be a 30 day shoot in LA and that they have hired actors and staff. http://tinyurl.com/kxsjqwv

We have also received some updated information on the film HOLD ON TO ME, remember that one? I know it’s been awhile. In a March 27th article with Deadline, it was reported that the James Marsh directed vehicle would begin shooting sometime this Fall (http://tinyurl.com/m4kpzv4). A day later it was listed in Production Weekly with a September 2014 start date. So that’s something

And don’t forget that Cannes will announce their film selections on April 17th.

* Maps to the Stars (2014)

* Queen of the Desert (2015)

party.

There is still no word on

when filming will begin on

REMAINDER. It is not

listed on any production

sites. Hopefully, we will get

some news shortly since it

is set to begin filming in

the spring.

As we reported last month,

there will be one last

hearing on April 10th regarding the copyright issues surrounding EFFIE GRAY so hopefully a release date will be issued soon after everything is resolved.

And finally, Cannes will announce their lineup for their annual festival on April 17th. Tom’s film FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD has received a lot of buzz and will likely be one of the films selected for competition at the festival.

UPCOMING PROJECTS:

*Effie Gray (2014)

* Far from the Madding

Crowd (2014)

Robert has completed filming

on four films in the span of only

fourteen months. Pretty

extraordinary if you ask us.

Bid for a Good Cause

As we reported last month, Robert as well as Sienna Miller donated items to be auctioned off to help raise money for Prostate Cancer Research through the fundraising efforts of Run with Marysol.

Marysol Alvarado is a London based proprietor of Mestizo Restaurant & Tequila Bar. She has locations in both London

and Madrid. She has set her fundraising goal to raise £4,000 pounds and has currently raised £3,024 so she’s almost there.

We contacted Marysol last month to find out more about the items donated and she graciously sent us a picture of the item Robert signed (as well as the items Sienna autographed)

The online auction will take place on eBay from April 1st through April 10th. Here is the link where you can bid on Rob’s runner singlet:

I don’t’ recall which occurred first,

registering for my paralegal conference

being held in Boston or viewing Bobby

Long’s 2014 tour schedule to see where

he would be playing next. But the

collision and spark occurred as I

realized my fate.

The venue was indeed small and

intimate and the tables were filling up.

Dedicated fans like me, including a few

I’ve met before, all eager to see the

amazing show that was being “live

streamed” all around the world. Bobby

entered the dim light room, stepped on

stage while tuning his guitar and the

announcer gave a long warm welcome

to the brilliance that is Bobby Long. He

started the night with a brand new song,

and I instantly knew from his first note

and the passion displayed on his face

that the night was going to be

spectacular, he was setting the stage on

fire! He played select songs from his

past two albums and EP’s as well as a

special cover for his fans across the

pond “A Hundred Years from Today.”

We were treated to new songs as well,

even one that he hasn't yet played in

front of an audience. The songs were in

Bobby’s original style, full of melodies &

lyrics that pull you in deep.

His story telling between songs was, as

always, clever, keeping us ALL laughing

along with him. I got the impression he

was a bit nervous about keeping his

online fans feeling included in the show

and artfully we reminded him to request

“tips” from his online fans.

The next day, I wrote this little poem:

He stepped on stage in the dim lit room Tuning his guitar and viewing the crowd

He smiles with his head tilted down Letting us all know that he was proud to be in

town Starting his set with a brand new song

With a voice so raw and infectious to all Reminding me of how it all started out

Five years ago when he crossed the pond Finger picking his guitar and belting out the

songs Letting us know, a new album recording was

coming round His girlfriend and dog are ever so supportive

As he says with a chuckle and a “it’s all good” He picks up the harmonica as the fans cheer

And steps to the side and starts singing “Dead and Done”

While the entire crowd sang along
