The idea behind TC kids is to keep the children entertained whilst their homeworking parents get time to crack on with their workload. Every Tuesday of the summer holidays we film a TC Kids show which are all based on different holiday themes. We then send out activities which relate to the theme of the week for example, the most recent theme was Cruise. If the kids complete all the ac-tivities for that week they get a certificate to say that they are a cruise expert or a safari expert for example. If a child manages to get all six certificates they win a prize. Not only this, but we have also compiled a summer bucket list including 40 activities. If the children complete all these activi-ties they win a prize at the end of the holidays. Part of your life is your children and in order to get the balance with work just right, we offer a helping hand with these fun shows and activities.

The sponsors from our most recent TC Kids day included P&O, Cunard, Carnival, Holland America and Princess- this was a great opportunity to network with our Travel Counsellors and share some valuable knowledge. The activities planned for our Cruise themed week were all things available on the actual cruises to give the kids a realistic taste of how fun a cruise can be! T-shirt decorating, finger kebab making, hook a duck to win a giant gorilla, biscuit decorating and loads more.

Emma Parry-Thorpe came to head office with her two girls Robyn and Freya- “I loved being able to bring the kids into head office to meet auntie Bec and auntie Sarah and other head office team members, they had such an amazing time and Robyn was so proud to go “live” on TC kids TCTV (which Freya then gate crashed!). The planned activities were amazing and the interaction from the cruise reps was great for us as TC’s to catch up and have a chat about product updates etc. as well as catching up with each other. They really enjoyed meeting other TC kids too, all in all a great day for all of us!”

Eight year old Robyn’s favourite parts of the day;

I liked all the different activities on offer and the fact that you could choose what activity you wanted to do whenI loved being on the couch with Auntie Bec and Auntie Sarah and was so excited when they gave me my “wow moments” certificateI really enjoy being a TC kid because I feel that I am involved with my mum’s work as a Travel Coun-sellor

Four year old Freya also enjoyed her moment in the spotlight on our broadcast show and loved decorating the gingerbread men. Here is what some other TC’s and their children said about our TC Kids day:

Andrea Hill- “Thank you for a fab day. We all enjoyed ourselves and Cameron loved being on the sofa even though he went a bit shy!”

Joanne Graham- “Great day and lovely to see you all. A special thank you to Auntie Sarah and Auntie Becks- Evie is now more in awe of you both after meeting you in person and joining in all your activities.”

Michelle Hallett- “Thank you, Luca and Mischa really enjoyed themselves!”

Anita Devonport- “A huge thank you from myself and Thomas, it was lovely to meet the suppliers and some new faces at Travel Counsellors. Tom wants to go on a cruise now which is great.”

Joanne Harrison-“Thank you very much for today, Evie has had a great time and is raving about it all. Thank you Sarah & Rebecca for all your hard work for TC Kids, it is very much appreciated. And thank you to the Cruise Suppliers it was great to meet them and for their generosity. Lovely to meet new TC’s and catch up with friends, all round a good day!”

Victoria Costello-“It was great fun! Thanks to everyone for arranging it!”

Gaynor Burgess- “Thank you Rebecca and Sarah – Ella had a great time – what a fab idea! It was great to meet with the suppliers too. Thank you for looking after us all on the day.”

Julie Crumpton-“Thanks for a brilliant day. It was lovely to meet some different TC’s and also the sponsors in a nice relaxed format. Isabelle loved meeting our very own celebrities Auntie Becks and Aunty Sarah and had a wonderful time doing all the crafts that were laid on.”
