 Objectives of Summer Reading:  Notes: Students are to bring summer reading books to English class on the first day

Kindle / E-books are acceptable, but hard copies are preferable. ✓ To provide common talking and writing points in academic classes  Honors classes can expect to have a project related to their additional book to be  ✓ To promote critical thinking and spiritual reflection  completed before returning to school. This assignment will be mailed to their  

  TCA-issued e-mail address.    

Students who will be taking Dual Enrollment English are encouraged to read the senior selection but are not required to. Reviews of some of the books on this list can be found at http://www.pluggedin.com/ and https://www.commonsensemedia.org/book-reviews.
