The Dark Empire costume club is an international organization of STAR WARS fans that wear the outfits of characters from the dark side ("bad guys") of the movies, or their own custom Sith / Dark Jedi / Grey Jedi creations.
By costuming at conventions and events, members of TDE experience not only the fun of "trooping" in costume, but also the more important goals of putting a smile on a kid's face and giving back to the community. Members of The Dark Empire have trooped at orphanages and charitable events geared toward raising funds and/or awareness for different charitable causes. It is also the policy of TDE to not troop at their events alone, but to invite all other STAR WARS costuming fan groups along. Wherever there is a TDE event, other STAR WARS groups are invited.
Dark Empire Radio has been a recurring podcast of our club since 2010. Episodes discuss costuming within TDE, as well as other STAR WARS topics with a fun dark side twist. Tune in at www.darkempireradio.com - also available on iTunes and Stitcher.
TDE is a growing international organization, and may have more members in some areas than others. Different regions throughout the world are divided into separate “Temples” within the Empire, the most active currently being our “Yavin IV Temple,” in the southeast section of the USA.

Clone Wars) inducted as an Honorary member of The Dark Empire.
George Lucas – TDE Honorary Member. The Dark Empire grants honorary
memberships to those that have contributed to STAR WARS continuity.
Absolutely anyone 18 years or older can be a costumed member. Please refer to our forums, or email for membership information. Anyone 13 or older may join our forums, but all costumed “official” members are adults with Star Wars canon or custom Sith / Dark Side / Grey Jedi costumes that are approved by the group. Minors may be considered apprentices of TDE; apprentices are not full members, but may costume at conventions or events along with a parent/guardian who must be an Official Member of The Dark Empire.
