Mount Terry Public School Growing Strong Reaching Far Kindergarten Home Learning Term 3 Week 5 Hello Kindergarten families! We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful weekend and managed to have a good break from home learning. We have prepared another week of home learning for your child and are confident that they will enjoy completing the set learning tasks. I want to say huge thanks to the Kindergarten team, consisting of Mrs Tighe, Mrs Bailey, Mrs Hood, Mrs Mayers, Mrs Korber and Ms Kenny for the work they have been completing over the past few weeks. As you can imagine, they have a multitude of tasks to complete each day, including preparing next week's lessons, making the morning daily videos, responding to Seesaw messages, filming stories and lessons, troubleshooting technology challenges, delivering lessons to students at school and many more new unfamiliar tasks. They are working tirelessly as a team each week and I am grateful for their dedication and professionalism. Last week, Mr O’Connor communicated via Skoolbag that as a school we have experienced an increase in the number of students attending school and we have attendance levels (percentages) significantly above other schools in the area. In this message, he reminded all families that we are operating with minimal supervision on site. The school remains operational for students who cannot learn from home because their parent(s) are essential workers who cannot work from home. He explained further, that if you are not working, or you are working from home, please keep your children at home for home learning. We do understand that this isn't always easy but we thank everyone for the support that you are able to provide during this challenging time. We are currently working on preparing an online home reading option that would provide your child with access to the books they would normally read at school and bring home each day. There is some background work that we need to do to prepare this online platform but I am confident that you will receive a message about how to log on and access this resource this week. Please keep an eye out on Seesaw for further information. There is a cost involved with this resource, $10 per student but we are using school funds to purchase this online resource. When it is available, I encourage everyone to find some time to use it with your child. That is all for this week, have a terrific week. Mr Hailstone Deputy Principal K-2

I want to say huge thanks to the Kindergarten team, consisting of Mrs Tighe, Mrs Bailey, MrsHood, Mrs Mayers, Mrs Korber and Ms Kenny for the work they have been completing over thepast few weeks. As you can imagine, they have a multitude of tasks to complete each day, including preparing next week's lessons, making the morning daily videos, responding to Seesawmessages, filming stories and lessons, troubleshooting technology challenges, delivering lessonsto students at school and many more new unfamiliar tasks. They are working tirelessly as a teameach week and I am grateful for their dedication and professionalism.

Last week, Mr O’Connor communicated via Skoolbag that as a school we have experienced anincrease in the number of students attending school and we have attendance levels (percentages)significantly above other schools in the area. In this message, he reminded all families that we areoperating with minimal supervision on site. The school remains operational for students whocannot learn from home because their parent(s) are essential workers who cannot work fromhome. He explained further, that if you are not working, or you are working from home, pleasekeep your children at home for home learning. We do understand that this isn't always easy but wethank everyone for the support that you are able to provide during this challenging time.

We are currently working on preparing an online home reading option that would provide yourchild with access to the books they would normally read at school and bring home each day. Thereis some background work that we need to do to prepare this online platform but I am confident thatyou will receive a message about how to log on and access this resource this week. Please keepan eye out on Seesaw for further information. There is a cost involved with this resource, $10 perstudent but we are using school funds to purchase this online resource.
